Trump in letter to Norwegian PM: "Feels no obligation to think purely of peace" due to Peace Prize rejection

Dear Ambassador:

President Trump has asked that the following message, shared with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, be forwarded to your [named head of government/state]

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT”

The only correct response is "WE DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH PEDOPHILES", then refuse all communications with the Trump regime. Narcissists are empowered with attention and recognition, so deny them both. Trump and the entire Republican Nazi party will never relinquish power, and will not be neutralised without violence. The Democrat parties majority are financed by the exact same criminally corrupt psychopath elite; they did not release the files either, to protect their wealthy pedophile donors. They are a controlled opposition who have consistently blocked or delayed legitimate progress whenever they've had full control.

The goal should be to implode America's domestic economy ASAP so the average American suffers the consequences of their own ignorant imperial boomerang and, hopefully, does something about it; containing future violence within US borders. Isolate them and let them deal with the consequences while their cancerous influence is purged from our own economies and politics.

But... all our political classes are also oligarch-financed-bootlickers who grovel at the feet of capital, so they'll continue to protect and defend nazis, pedophiles, psychopaths, narcissists, and authoritarianism, in general— allow their continued corporate-oligarch infiltration and corruption of our democracies — on behalf of their own greed and egomania in service to the almighty dollar.

I have zero doubt multiple EU members have copies of the files, and have known Trump is an intelligence-protected pedo for longer than he's been politically relevant. Late stage capitalist oligarchy is one big club of unlimited greed and narcissism, and we ain't in it.

The only correct response is "WE DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH PEDOPHILES", then refuse all communications with the Trump admin entirely.

I think the problem is that Europe currently does not have the manpower to defend against an american invasion, especially since Greenland is easier for them to reach than for us. Refusing communication with that manchild might tempt it to do something aggressive faster.

Sooo, if I understand Americans are ready to fight a war for a pedophile.

8
piefed.zip

The american people, no. But american military is drilled into subservience, it's basically brain washing. They will absolutely commit any attack the top general commands, which, in america, is the president, so trump himself.

Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that all of them are goign to be fine with it, some might question it. But refusing to follow an order carries severe consequences. I checked out the "laws" for that (https://govfacts.org/government/federal/agencies/defense/understanding-the-uniform-code-of-military-justice-ucmj/) and from what I can understand by this massive wall of text: It's not unlikely that, by refusing a command to attack, you'll probably get court-martialed and then discharged from the army and lose all pay and benefits - and that means your life is essentially over in a land like murica where social security doesn't exist.

Most probably know that so they will rather follow the order than have their life ruined.

9

And they are Americans. If someone is ok with killing others and making the lives of millions of people awful, for a salary it sounds quite selfish.

Aside from the actual message he is sending, this level of English is what I would expect from a 7 year old.

Imagine being the people who are expected to, like, deal with shit like this.. like how do you take this seriously? At the same time you have to not only take it seriously but also deal with the threats and shit.. I certainly don’t envy them.

13

There's a difference in acting as if he is a serious person, and that the situation is serious. I hope those who have to deal with him understand how serious the situation is.

3

After the child rapist in chief is dead (hopefully, soon), does anyone in that shit country expect we take them seriously when they talk to the world after the complete shitshow Mango Hitler is doing?

I mean, this is something I expect from a toddler that has zero negotiation skills but not from the fucking president of a superpower.

If he was the president of a less armed country, the world would be laughing at him openly

76
lemmy.today

As someone (unfortunately) in the US, I fully expect the reputation of the US to be ruined for the rest of my life. I'm lucky to be in a decently progressive (by US standards) state, but I really would rather be anywhere but here in the US. We are fucked.

47
feddit.uk

If it’s any consolation, Afghan, Iraq, Guantanamo and torture already meant the US was considered a turd world country. The only difference is Americans are now seeing what we’ve known for decades.

24

Oh, I've known that we were a shithole. But I had a tiny, miniscule amount of hope that we could pull out of it in my lifetime, at least when I was a teenager and young adult. Now, I have no hope. There's no coming back from this, at least not as the USA. Maybe if we balkanize, but that's unlikely to happen because of our oligarchs.

8
Cruxifuxreply
feddit.nl

Yeah I’ve got some bad news for you. For as long as I’ve been alive, at least in Canada, we’ve not had a high opinion of the US. And we like you guys more than most countries.

15
lemmy.today

I've been painfully aware my entire life, not to worry. It's just that there is no repairing it now, not in my lifetime. There may have been a slim chance of getting closer with our allies before a third of the country voted the dumbass in chief into office, but not anymore.

10
Cruxifuxreply
feddit.nl

In Canada anyway the US government has been influencing our elections openly in bad faith and also threatening to annex and invade us this year. I don’t see you guys coming back from that one without some massive, major shifts in government and culture.

3
lemmy.today

That's basically what I said in the first place, that I don't see the US coming back from this, at least not during my lifetime.

2
Cruxifuxreply
feddit.nl

Well I’m more optimistic. It is NOT too late to do something. It is not too late for the American citizens to show the rest of the world that they do not want World War 3, that they do know right from wrong, and that they aren’t too selfish and cowardly to do something about it.

2

I won't say it's impossible, but as someone in the country, it's doubtful. We are a country built and operated on corruption and greed. It will take millions of American citizens to rise up, and kick the oligarchs to the curb. I'm afraid my fellow citizens are far too comfortable at the moment to actually take action. Minneapolis has given me a bit of hope, but until it's in every city for weeks at a time, I'm afraid nothing will change.

1

The fact that any person reads this letter and thinks: "Wow, he is such a good diplomat, I am glad this man is in charge!" deeply troubles me.

This is some third grader shit.

68
kbin.life

I've known six year old children to have more maturity than this. "I'm going to invade Greenland because I didn't get a Nobel Peace Prize" is what this boils down to.

A literal child is in charge of the most powerful single country in the world.

65

Plus the fat paedo would've still done the exact same thing even if they 'awarded' it to him. It's all distraction and projection.

12

"DON'T MAKE ME HIT YOU!"
{smack}
"NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE MADE ME DO!"

16

Have you won a Nobel? Neither have I- we both started 0 wars, and ended 0. (Score (0/0)

Henry Kissenger got his for negotiating the end of the Vietnam war- a war he had a part in begining and maintaining. Likewise with Arafat and Rabin's 94 award for the Oslo accords- despite being partisans. (1/1) each, arguably more for kissenger, like 20/1

Well, DJ's record proves it- hes ended 8+ wars! but as of the most recent award, had started 0, for a score of (0/8) And that didn't get him a peace prize. Clearly the ONLY way to get a peace prize is to not only end wars, but to start wars so they can be ended.

This is an oversite on his part which he is seeking to rectify in both Venezuela and Greenland, and hes notifying the government of Norway to ensure future recognition

After all, from the committee's perspective it makes sense; if too many people end wars they didnt start, eventually, we'll run out of wars and then there will be no more wars for people to end, and the Nobel peace prize committee will be out of a job!

7
feddit.dk

The fuck is the Norwegian prime minister to do with that load of shit? He's not even on the committee.

Apparently Trump doesn't even know what the fuck the Nobel prize is.

56

From what the various people who have explained to him how it works says, it seems that he does know.

He just doesn't understand why the Norwegian government won't be corrupt and influence it, because to him that's an obvious thing you'd do when you have power and influence.

25

Remember that Trump doesn't care about rules. He thinks that any leader has absolute power within the territory they control. So he thinks the prime minister of Norway should have personally ensured that Trump received the Nobel peace prize.

10
lemmy.world

Aside from the horrible implications of this letter. Can we address his writing style? For a man who was educated at the insitutions he attended, he sure doesn't show it. I know we are accustomed to reading his tweets, but Jesus Christ this is embarassing.

It appears he is just dictating letters to heads of state and not even having anyone give it a once over before slapping it on the white house letterhead and sending it.

These are the meandering thoughts of a lunatic.

50

I'd assume he "graduated" because of his father's donations being tied to his graduation, not due to academic prowess

9

I'm convinced he only graduated because daddy gave the school a lot of money

2

I assume he dreamt about starting 8 new wars but didn't (or couldn't or forgot) and thus they were 'stopped'.

21

World War 3 to 10. He was going to start them but got distracted with an underage beauty pageant.

18

His latest addition to his list of wars "ended" is the two-year conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The other seven were between Israel and Iran, Pakistan and India, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Serbia and Kosovo.

Most of these were few day long conflicts. Egypt and Ethiopia were not in war, they had decate long disagreement about a damn, and USA helped to mediate it. By my understandment Trump was not even part of the mediation.

Also if these count then he should say he has ended 9 wars because the military situation in Venezuela ended in few hours.

Trump saying he stopped wars is like me saying i saved a childs live today when i decited to not kill them.

8

He takes credit for any skirmishes that subsided during his presidency even when he had nothing to do with them. And he hallucinates a few too.

6
lemmy.world

How does this guy even manage to put on his pants in the morning?

40

It might be, if he stroked out live on TV. Especially if he was aware enough to understand how weak he looked in the moment. Besides some kind of massive disfiguring and painful tumor, it’s about the best we can hope, for a narcissist’s demise.

9
lemmy.world

Glancing over the rest of the comments, I don't see somebody explicitly pointing out how we know Trump is full of shit and also dumb as shit in this letter.

First, he campaigned on "America First," so he never felt an obligation to think "purely" of peace. It's just a lie.

Second, he's outright saying that he previously was giving the Nobel Prize committee an insane amount of control over American foreign policy because he wanted to be a Nobel Peace Prize. This is a dumb as shit thing to admit.

Third, is it Russia or China who we're worried about taking over Greenland? Does Trump not understand that these are two different countries? Surely if he is working on some sort of intel, he'd specifically choose one of them to be worried about. I think this demonstrates that there's no real intel about this, and he's simply lying.

Fourth, why isn't he waiting until Russia or China actually do something? If they actually did something militarily in Greenland, then America could swoop in and save the day. And then, he'd also have some actual reasoning behind statements that he could use to justify taking control of Greenland.

Also, NATO has done tons of stuff for the US. Why does America have the largest military budget in the world? It's because America has chosen to maintain military presence all over the world. NATO has always supported American foreign policy.

Everything Trump is saying in this letter reeks of bullshit.

35

Well, sort of. Technically there are a few members of the legislature or chosen by the legislature on the Nobel committee

2

why isn’t he waiting until Russia or China actually do something?

The thing is, Russia already has done something. Trump has a mandate from the people to fuck up Russia militarily by arming Ukraine. Why he chooses to not do this, while making statements about Russia taking land, is maddening.

3

He only sees power. This is him saying that only Russia and China are powerful to him. Everyone else he thinks he can bully. It is insane. If he was a good politician, he could actually have open dialogue with Denmark and work together to develop resource extraction or shipping routes. But Trump has no idea of how to work with people.

Ah yes I remember them getting outed for that, never knew their music or saw their pictures though.

1

Every single 12 year old I know is more emotionally mature than the US president and it isn't even close.

25

Quick someone tell him no other president in history has ever immolated themselves. We might get lucky.

24

Keep expectations low, he'll probably beat the pettiness within a few weeks. Just describing the current president of the US. If this was the 90s it'd be an SNL skit, in 2026 it's just just accurate.

1

for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS,

So....9? Is 9 the number you were looking for? Maybe 10? I assume this is based on him starting a war and bumbling it back out of a war between the time this was sent and received.

Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China,

Yeah, if only there was some sort of military force treaty organization that covered the North Atlantic so friends could help friends.

I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding,

Comedic line of the decade

The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

lol, sorry, no, this is the comedic line of the decade.

The administration is still in violation of the law releasing the Epstein files.

22

Comical levels of stupidity aside, this message worries me. It really sounds like Trump is trying to justify being about to start a war to someone who he thinks is responsible for issuing out Nobel prizes.

..bring plenty of butter and salt.

4

Denmark, any NATO members, whoever wants to... Might win a Nobel Peace prize

5

I'm gonna go against the grain and say no, it would in fact be bad for everyone involved if someone killed Trump. Trump is evil, sure, but he's also stupid and there are plenty of non-stupid evil people who would want to take his place. Or, now that I think about it, it might good for Iran, but it'd definitely be terrible for everyone else.

2

Fucking insanity as he tries to outdo himself in being fucking outrageous EVERY DAMN DAY to the point of not only pissing off everyone, but also giving others something to be entertained about... I can only imagine the laughter coming out of Kremlin.

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that the fascists would just hand over the presidency at the end of his term. They have near complete control over the executive and judicial branches of government with their own gestapo at their disposal. The only place Trump is going to go is 6 feet underground and, in that case, they'll just pick another obedient successor.

15

Well yes, but at least it would be a classic dictator, not whatever the hell is going on currently, where it seems this presidency is just a parody of the US presidency

5

Yeah, but it is getting progressively worse as he gains in confidence and arrogance, because he has found out he can now literally carry out every little whim that comes to him without any hindrance.

His first 4 years were bad, no doubt about it, but the fucker actually held back on his insanity, he doesn't do that anymore, and now he has a bunch of equally unhinged billionaires urging him along.

11

This was only his first year.... fuck. Felt like way more. The first time he got elected it was bad, but still so much better then whatever he is currently doing.

Um... it might surprise you but there are, in fact, things that are more important than the Epstein files. Nothing is going to come out of the Epstein files; everyone who cares about the truth already knows Trump is a pedophile.

18

I’m sorry you feel so defeatist.

I agree there are more important things than the Files. That doesn’t mean we should not try to get them out by all means necessary.

I would wager the millions of misguided and mislead MAGA voters, actually got sucked into that movement in part because they wanted that ‘truth’, and I’d wager they don’t yet know.

I don’t post these to minimise the other grave and important things that are happening.

It is a distraction reminder for us that all this (real and harmful) commotion is being used to divert attention from his own criminality, and his attempt to cover for the pedophile cabal of the world. This is why he is there. This is what he is really good at.

Until we learn to drive our own agenda (back in the day, we used to have real journalists driving ‘gates’ like Watergate, which terminated a presidency) and stop taking the bait, nothing will change.

All we have as outsiders is a little bit of online pressure to the lawmakers in the states. Each time one of these egregious acts of him get us outraged, we have spent that energy and can’t use it for a common goal so great that if we were successful, it would not just be the end of him, his sycophants, but the entire US-zionist-billionaire cult and royal families in Europe.

This is the one card that topples their entire house, that keeps them blackmailed, and stops a former formidable force like the UK to even say one peep about Maduro being kidnapped.

He swears at a random labourer who calls him a pedophile protector. And flips him off. He can’t stand this. It is really bad, and he knows he is done when it gets out, which is why it must come out. It is bigger than him, it goes to the Supreme Court, members of congress, billionaires, and parts of the royal families of Europe, and of course Israel. I am convinced it will come out, I’m less sure if he will live to see that day.

Even when Trump starts a nuclear war you guys will pretend it’s just a distraction from the Epstein files.

4

Because it will be. And he won’t. He’s not the top of the food chain, he has his handlers to answer to.

0

Hey Donald, let's make a deal: you can brag about the Nobel (or: "Noble") medal you got from that lady, in return you leave other countries alone.

3

I say we invent new prizes like "Biggest dick in the universe", "Best at doing things"you do", "Most colourful", etc., so we can keep giving him him awards everyday for the next few decade. Just keeping busy with shinny things.
