Yeah I mean this is basically what the black panther party set out to do in black neighborhoods, escort people and keep the peace

They did a little Juche. Which, depending on your prejudices, can be an important to a self reliant community.

"Where are you taking these prisoners?"

"These are prisoners."

"Yes. Where are you taking them?"

"I am--taking them--to imprison them--in prison."

We already are dressed like ICE agents, minus the face covering. You know, because they dress just like anyone else and don't identify themselves at all.

71

Yes, then hold them like you don't like them to your car and take them home. This is a brilliant idea.

19

YES! Finally, my dad-bod is gonna come in handy. To the closet I go to don the most middle-age cop polo I can find! We're playing dress-up!

I wonder at what point of khakis and face covering you cross the line into impersonating an officer.

40

Extra brown khakis, or maybe extra light khakis...I could see this going either way. Which answer are you looking for?

6

your honor is it stolen valor to have burrito stains on my XXXL brown tshirt that are only barely covered up by my undersized body armor?

I’m picturing the conversation with the ICE guys. “No we’re with unit 2. Yeah the other unit. You guys can go get lunch, we’ve got this one.”

There's a small possibility that ICE could start pretending to be not-ICE escorts, but that would require them to have an IQ above room temperature

21

So they become NNICE. Then there will be a NNNICE. We can beat them with confusion. It's SUPER effective!

13

Under the body armor they can wear a pride flag. That's the official badge of NICE! Flash that to those that may want to cause trouble for NICE agents!

Don't do this. The immigrants will get a charge (felony?) for not showing up to court.

Assuming we think we can get through this with our current laws intact, documenting everything for them is what we should do.

you misread the situation. the post suggests giving folks rides home after their court hearing, which is when ICE has been doing their dirty work in a lot of cases.

but i appreciate your good will :)

You reached the end
