Some of the shading on the left side looks off, but it otherwise looks okay. Any tips on taking better pictures of my mini or painting tips are welcome. I'm stipp learning.
Edit: Reposted the front one. Turns out my phone does something weird with pictures taken horizontally making it blurred.
Designed this on heroforge, and printed with my resin 3D printer. Spent 5-7 days painting it. Think I found a life long hobby <3
I hope this is okay here. I didn't see a specific minipainting community with more than 1 member.
Started painting this after resin printing a heroforge mini I made and bought. Just paid for the model file and here we are.
Anyway, spent maybe 5-7 days painting it. I think it looks better in person than from my phone camera (seems to highlight every imperfection, but it actually looks decent compared to what I've seen my friends paint). I'm still new to painting minis, but I think I found a life long hobby i enjoy. Hope you like it <3
Hadn't drawn anything in like 18 years, and my nephew asked me to draw something for him. Ended up being sort of a christmas gift.
My wife brought home a sloth toy for our puppy. She was so ecstatic I could barely get her to stay still for a picture
This is my entry to my SNES Style Graphics Jam #2. I was surprised by how much people enjoyed the game, so I'm sharing it around. Its a small narrative experience, and its rough around the edges. But it has a strong emotional narrative that I think people gravitated too.
Follow the child around as he lives the same day over and over again as you slowly piece together the pieces.

But I am far from an expert. I bought a tablet that had a flavor of linux on it and found myself woefully unprepared trying to navigate the tablet. I was planning to use it for DnD for pdf reading, but it apparently wasn't capable of that bcz it was a rather custom OS. With windows 10 support being dropped by Microsoft in the next few months, I want to transition my desktop to Linux, and I thought I'd get a headstart on that. I have a windows 11 laptop (and I hate it), but im kinda stuck with it for now. So, in the spirit of I am a noob who isn't quite a noob, what do ya'll recommend? p.s. I used Ubuntu for a bit way way back in high school
Edit: I do game dev with Unreal. Another user pointed out that may affect my choice of distro
