Millennials been saying this since we were teens but were told to shut up and sit down
And we did...
GenX been hammered this since we were kids ain't nothing changing because we are all addicted to this course we are on including you and your generation.
The sooner we all admit it's our habits that have collectively caused this the sooner we solve it but we all know that shit isn't gonna happen so here we are. I feel sorry for my kids and hope one day it gets bad enough that we all agree to change it.
Do not blame private citizens for the actions taken by large corporations and governments agencies.
There's plenty of blame to go around.
Private citizens are supporting shitty companies and electing shitty governments.
When there are only two shitty options to choose from, picking the least shitty option doesn't mean they were the 'good' one.
issue is some countries and areas have viable affordable alternatives to planet destroying lifestyle habits, but people still chose to destroy the planet
Can we acknowledge that most consumer habits are directly driven by the media and large corporations influencing people through news and advertising? Or that corporations have done their best to offload the responsibility for polluting the biosphere onto consumers, even as they knowingly peddled products that had direct damage to ecosystems and pushed habits that did nothing but make consumers feel better about the shitty products they consume (see plastic recycling).
Sorry but no. Many understand and hate this path yet there is little choice when the alternati-e is homelessness, starvation and/or jail
It’s why I’m not having kids tbh
The study says that people will experience 18 heat waves in their life time, up from 11. A heatwave could be as short as 2 days, or a couple of days or longer. They worry that the temp. Could rise by 3.5C despite current polices will keep us at about 2.4C. It is a bit fearmonger-ey once you read the methodology. They are basing it if you live in Belgium.
The UK just had a "heatwave," which was about 26C+ or so, still far from the highest of 34.8C which is the highest recorded in 30+ years.
Pollution is a bigger problem, with plastic being found in kids developing brains, for example.
https://www.ehn.org/plastics-neurological-disorders
Yeah because it's Spring here in the UK. Getting 26 degrees C at this time of year, and for this many weeks in a row is insane.
Stop having kids. No, it won't prevent the climate from going to shit. Yes, it will prevent you from creating new victims.
But... but... who will grow the economy so we can get the first trillionaire? Humanity has never existed with less than 2 billion people. Suggesting that lower than replacement birth rates are possible is eco fascist!!1 /s
The reality of closing schools, rotting infrastructure, and an aging destitute population that comes from population decline is going to be rough to live through. It's good for the planet I suppose, but us humans living in this human system are going to suffer.
Budgets for elderly care are already getting slashed and more expensive thanks to neoliberalism. Where has all that abundance from growth gone?
The problem is not the population distribution, it is an economic system that is a giant Ponzi scheme constructed on theoretical infinite growth.
You know what's worse than closed schools and rotting infrastructure? A mass extinction of species entirely caused by humans:
That's a cool graph(?), where is it from?
https://www.pnas.org/doi/epub/10.1073/pnas.2204892120
It's so cool, it's actually chilling
But.. but… in US, you get a whole $5,000 usd hehe
And a $20,000 bill for delivery
The only thing Evil (aka. suffering, disease, war,...) needs to exist is that 'good' people continue to have children.
I would be sad about this, but I think I've used up all my sad, and now I'm just pissed. We could prevent all of this, but its gonna have to get really really bad before we drag our leaders out into the streets over this crap. It's a sad day for our species, and barely anybody even notices.
You still have piss? I’m so pissed out. It’s just comedy at this point.
It’s still funny to you? I’m just trying to make it to Tuesday.
Oh honey, that was yesterday. Someone needs a hug.
And it's a one-way progression, so if we let it get to that point it's going to stay at that point even after the leaders are gotten rid of. In order to actually solve the problem properly, we have to do it before it gets bad enough for normies to support it.
Well, fortunately Trump is doing a pretty good job at radicalizing everybody in the US (and outside the US) against the status quo/world order and those who uphold it.
Hopefully we will never resort to that sort of violence to address our problems though.
Radicalizing… who exactly? I see some anemic little protests full of Americans who are unwilling to actually commit civil disobedience, let alone do something “radical.” I see people rolling over and taking it. Where are the “radicalized” people?
Funny, because I've been seeing some of the largest protests my city has seen in 20+ years
They are protesting, but are they committing disobedience? Would you picture any of those protests going crazy and throwing the governors out of the windows?
I have seen a lot of +1 million protests in my country during my lifetime. None of them worked for anything.
I'm not saying revolution doesn't work, historically it does. But your judgement is not very practical. If you act as an individual you get arrested for terrorism and the state charges you with the death penalty. You riot the state brings in the riot police to bash your face in. You truly revolt and they bring in the tanks and declare martial law. Martial law would greatly benefit the current administration.
I don't know how to get around these obstacles, and I suspect neither do you. I have a whole hell of a lot more respect for those that leave their homes to protest injustice than those that stay at home and do nothing other than critize people for trying. I don't see you volunteering to fire the first shot in either my country or yours. So until you are ready to take that leap maybe don't critize those trying to do something. Or come up with a criticism more constructive than "why don't you just commit crimes and risk everything including your life". That's a lot to ask of anyone
Sitting here posting like your entire country wasn’t founded on (and continues to LOUDLY congratulate itself for) risking everything to bring the fight to overwhelmingly powerful and oppressive forces.
Whatever the outcome of all this is, I never want to hear a word about your beloved fucking founding fathers again.
Just because protests aren't being covered by the mainstream media doesn't mean they don't exist. And a significant portion of liberal spaces are becoming radical in sentiment, even if some are still constrained to hoping Bernie and AOC will save them in 2028. You aren't going to hear me praise anything going on as being sufficient, though.
Great. Sad leads to apathy; angry leads to guillotines.
It's kinda like when you're hungry and the hunger pains don't go away until twenty minutes after you've started eating so you eat way too much.
A lot of the major consequences aren't here yet (enough that denial is still possible). People will notice after it's already gotten really terrible and it's beyond obvious that we should've done anything at any cost about it.
Maybe when the arctic circle is springing up palm trees people will understand that it's not a Chinese hoax.
There's so many reasons I'm not having kids. My brother on the other hand is having kids with half the state of Idaho. I'll do what I can for my niblings but I don't have enough damage control to go around
It's half the state of Idaho, Michael. What could it be, 10 women?
And we're STILL not willing to reign in capitalism.
We doomed ourselves. My pity is reserved for all the species we're taking with us in this murder/suicide for short term profit for the avarice diseased. Those capitalists are by far most to blame, but no one that contributes to the capitalist machine, myself included, is without blame for the effectively permanent destruction of our COMMUNal habitat.
Unless you're an eco-terrorist who has been actively trying to destroy the capitalist machine, the precious few good guys as far as I'm concerned if your goal is a viable habitat for our species at all beyond the next couple decades, we've all been seeing this oncomming train heading towards us our entire lives and done nothing of note.
We can't keep living like we've been living, as gluttonous consumers with 78 kinds of plastic packaged cereal made a thousand miles away in any form AND survive as a species, and it's clear which choice we've made. We aren't willing to live closer to the land, to farm the food our community eats, to live small lives understanding we are subject to earth and not the other way around, so we gotta go so life can go on without us.
Humans are pretty resilient. I don't think we're going to go extinct, unless we do the nuclear winter thing, which I personally believe is inevitable on a long enough timeline. Short of that, we'll see mass death and an extreme decline in quality of life, but we'll probably, unfortunately, continue on as a species. Either way, we'll end up destroying this planet eventually. We simply cannot exist in symbiosis with nature.
I'm not really on the fence about the bright vs dark future thing anymore, as you can see by my name. It's pretty much guaranteed we've chosen the dark future option.
Blah blah ecofascist doomerism. We can live harmonically with nature and have for most of our history. Our current consumerist society isn't compatible with sustainable and responsible practices but that isn't a forgone conclusion or intrinsic to human behavior. That's not to say that we aren't on a bad path, we absolutely are and a great many organisms are going extinct because of us, but ascribing a moral value to our very existence is the wrong move.
Not true. Humans always reproduced to the absolute limit (set by their agricultural technology and the bodies of women). The reason why this didn't wreck the environment is because that limited population was too small to turn 50% of land into farmland, they didn't know how to burn large amounts of coal and they didn't have the technology to produce harmful chemicals.
But i agree that humanity (or any other species) has no value. Saying humanity has value is like saying the white race has value. It's pure aestethics, it's not worth it to make anyone suffer for that.
My understanding is that this is not true. The big factor seems to be infant mortality, as that drops so does the average number of children per breeding pair.
Turns out you are right. At least on the surface.
But if we dig deeper, we find that only 10% of children made it to their 20s, and the reason for that was famine and disease.
So those that kept the population growing lived under conditions where the reason why their children died was because they could not feed them or keep them healthy. And if we take the 0.5% of maternal mortality, and apply it to those responsible for the population growth (those that made it into their 20s), we get a rough estimate of 50% effective maternal mortality. So it was the agricultural technology in combination with war, disease and child birth that kept the population low.
And that's what i meant: They lived in a situation where 80-90% of their friends had died of famine, disease and war, and under these horrific conditions they still produced 4.5 to 7.5 children per woman, which kept the population growing (slowly). As soon as that limitation was lifted, the population shot up.
Personally, i don't see any planning in that. They just had as many children as they could before they died, not worrying about how they would feed them.
Human nature is game theory driven by greed. Billions of people are too much chaos.
Only in a social framework that rewards greed. "Human nature" is almost impossible to understand because it can't be studied with a control group.
Incinerating the planet in the name of profit is a very recent concept.
Capitalism in its current form has existed for the last 2% of human civilization. 5% if you count mercantilism as a form of capitalism. For the vast majority of history, people owned their own means of production.
You are giving our species too much credit. For almost all of our history, we merely lacked the technologies capable of terraforming our planet against us for short term profit.
If the kings and feudal lords of yore had the capability to burn the long term future to goose their short term greed disease hoards, they would have.
We're a gaggle of monkeys just barely capable, with great effort, of devising tools with complexities and consequences we're still far too primitive to wield responsibly, nothing more.
I'm of the opinion this is one of those theoretical Great Filters that explains the lack of a loud universe filled with the signals of other civilizations.
Evolution is slow. If complex life is common and eventually leads to intelligence, maybe there's just a common chasm between when when a species becomes... clever enough, because we've proven as a species we aren't intelligent... To split atoms or otherwise alter the habitat of their world technologically, but still sit biologically in the tribal, zero sum, rival monkeys have to lose so we big win! mentality that is necessary in nature but harmful to a civilization, that inevitably leads to self-destruction.
What was the FIRST thing we sought to do with the awesome power of the atom again? Wasn't even a hundred years ago. That's who we are. We could have made a warm light for all mankind, instead we made big boomie boom rival monkey tribe, wheeeeee!
I guess feudalism was technically not capitalism...
We will have to teach that there are five seasons now: spring, summer, inferno, autumn and winter.
Storm, Flood, Heatwave, Fire, Dust, Blizzard
Naw, where I am we mostly have SMOKE
No really
Smoke is part of every depiction of hell, so 'Inferno' is still applicable.
It's gonna be awesome when we're old and need end of life care and the younger generations are too poor to help us and too stupid to help us even if they weren't poor.
We're headed into a very, very stupid and depressing future. And it's 100% avoidable.
Welcome to COSCO, I love you.
Maybe that was a little too much Patrick
*was avoidable, by taking steps 25-40 years ago. Boomers took us right over the edge of any cliff they could find, again and again.
Umm actually this is just woke and we should have more children for racist reasons /s
Tell that to Africans, and to a few South American countries, they are the only ones who are not crashing and have a viable replacement rate above 2.1... and then some.
If you were really concerned about over population that is what one would do, but no one here would have the guts for ideological reasons or for fear of being even remotely perceived as possibly a racist. Despite objective statistics. /s
Where did they say anything about "overpopulation"?
Now it's even more depressing because that means humans have been using children as a tool to create social security, knowing full well that most of them will suffer and die at an early age.
It's a pyramid scheme played with (literally) innocent people at the expense of an insane amount of suffering and death.
Thank you MAGATs for destroying our country and the world.
It's capitalism.
Oil companies have known about this shit since the 70s and there's been billions spent to manufacture your consent, keep the current power structures, and prevent change. Both parties maintain that status quo, don't forget that.
We’ve known long before that: https://bigthink.com/the-present/1912-climate-change-prediction/
Not just MAGAs, this is on the whole world. I feel like they've been talking about and warning about global warming for all 39 years of my life now and most of these clown nations still have vague targets set for 2030, 2040 etc. Head clown Trump might be helping speed it up now but no one has approached this with any particular urgency. Our world leaders are just as effective at fighting climate change as they've been fighting misinformation on Twitter and Facebook.
I personally think that if there is a future where we write history books, our current crop of leaders in the world today are going to go down as the absolute worst and most useless sacks of shit, that sold out their people to both fascism and climate change.
This would have happened with or without them. They introduced other problems, but we were already headed to climate collapse before this year.
"Winning!"
This is actually optimistic. They think kids are going to grow up.
They think people these days can afford to have kids.
You got chosen for the baby boomer reenactment vault, enjoy.
Important question, which end of the boomer reenactment do I get to be on?
The one with all the testing. Very important testing. American testing. Muritest. Guaranteed to be 75% RAD free*.
* guarantee based on availability.
Come on dude you played fallout you know it ends badly lol
Lol, not mine. Good fucking luck to you chumps living below the arctic circle though!
No your kids will get anthrax and all the viruses that are now stuck in the permafrost and will revive once they are thawed.
You've been watching too much TV. Besides my little corner of the arctic doesn't have permafrost.
Damn you, Scott!
YES WE FUCKING KNOW
And people say I'm somehow selfish or pathetic for not wanting to give any possible kids an undue burden, even assuming they are a white cis-male able-bodied person, the exact thing a fascist wants in this nation.
It's just foolish or genuinely spiteful to have kids in this time. Even if you can give them a good childhood, healthy, happy, nothing wrong with em at all, you can't fix the climate.
I've never thought that anyone was selfish or pathetic for choosing not to have kids, but it's odd to suggest that it's foolish or spiteful to have kids now.
Kids now will face climate change, but their lives will be better than the vast majority of their ancestors. Imagine if your ancestors decided not to have children because they were worried about food insecurity or warring tribes or sabre-toothed tigers.
The earth would be in much better shape if my ancestors decided not to have any children
That's indisputable.
However I think you can understand why others like myself would prefer that humankind has existed and continues to do so.
Lol yeah, cuz an unlivable planet is pretty much the same as a predator.
Suggesting the planet will be "unlivable" is hyperbole. Maybe read the article.
I did. Did you? The authors were discussing a best-case-scenario and weren't factoring in the climate tipping point, resource wars, or any of the social effects of broadspread climate change, and even then the conclusions are pretty fucking stark. But do go on about natural predators and people fighting each other with sticks.
So not "unlivable" then.
Lol. Go pretend to have an argument somewhere else, bud
No you are.
If there was a meteor about to destroy all life within a year, bringing kids into that would be widely acknowledged as unethical. Many people believe that doesn't change just because the timeframe is longer.
There is no existential threat like a meteor though.
Sure, climate change is a big deal. It's going to cause famine and war. We need to take action to address it both in the short, medium, and long term.
However, climate change is not going to make earth uninhabitable.
Ah yes, the environment being fucked, causing issues with water, weather, crops, animals, is exactly the same as if you wondered off, you might have been attacked by an animal.
Dumbest take possible. Don't have kids, you'll spread your stupidity and doom them to the climate change holocaust.
I'm not suggesting that tigers are the same as climate change.
Merely pointing out that despite the challenges presented by climate change kids today will enjoy a must better lifestyle than almost all of their ancestors.
Shit, just what I want to read while my girlfriend is in labour.
Just tell her to try and hold things in until tomorrow, that should help.
Congrats!
Thanks!
15/05/25 or 05/15/25 for the Americans is a good day to be boring though.
It's alright. Our (USian) mighty government is doing everything it can to eliminate the choice.
You’d be horrible person to have them. Selfish.
Selfish is having kids to fill narcissistic tendentcies and then bitching and moaning about how other people are unwilling to raise them for you.
I addition, yes.
Sorry for trying to find some purpose in this crappy life in the form of nurturing and caring for another person.
I think my kids will still be able to acknowledge that being born today is still far better than being born in basically any other time during the vast majority of human existence though.
Edit: Showed your comment to my daughter and she said "I'm happy to be alive, thanks very much"
I find purpose in helping those who already exist, in the service of preventing suffering.
That's great, I do that too
Your kids needs to suffer for you idiotic so called purpose. Get a hobby next time, go volunteer instead of dragging other souls down with you
Shame that your parents didn't feel that way.
True. But I managed to have purpose without dragging other souls down with me. Thank you for your kind words 🩷
Point me to a time in the past when there was no suffering please.
Around 4.5 billion years ago, at least on earth. The existence of suffering and its universality are good reasons for you to perpetuate it?
Existence is accompanied by suffering, yes. If you can't accept that, that's on you. If you wish for all life to cease because of your views, then you're the selfish one here.
Lol I accept that. although you seem to ignore it for your selfish reasons. My will is not important. I'm merely pointing the fact that your actions increase suffering for your own personal gain. Do with it what you will.
Edit - I'd also add that for many many poor creatures including humans, existence is not accompanied by suffering, but it is only suffering. You are delusional if you think you have the power to save your poor child from it
Well, you say that now but the water wars have already started, and your kids won’t qualify to emigrate. You should educate them of survival skills and firearms.
We can mitigate the looming water crisis by spreading awareness, not by encouraging people to choose or equip themselves for violence. Do your part.
Regulation of industrial/animal agriculture water usage, restoration of our environments so they are able to retain water, respecting aquifer replenishment rates, exploring water capture technologies, desalination, and water pipelines are all things that are in our power. We can also move some agriculture indoors into vertical farms and use wastewater recirculation.
If we are faced with people literally dying of thirst and not being able to grow food, or having to deal with the byproducts of desalination - the latter is always preferable.
I’m cracking up. More awareness. Fuck off with your thoughts and prayers, darling, the time for awareness was in the mid ‘90s.
You’re very late to the party.
Well, as it stands, we have more solutions and technology on the table than ever before.
Like the recent breakthrough: sodium-ion batteries. Or proton batteries.
If we utilized the products of desalination and put it towards energy storage, vertical farms could be scaled sustainably and powered solely by renewables/solar. Energy storage with non-rare earth materials is groundbreaking.
This gives us some breathing room to stop inputting wasteful amounts of water into agriculture and deal with our topsoil. Vertical farms don't necessarily need water input like typical agriculture and solar panels are cheap to make. This also mitigates the climate's effect on agriculture and yields.
If we could all just get together and do , we'd be able to do it! I've found that relying on other people most often ends in disappointment. I know that's cynical, but it's also not inaccurate.
There’s a new battery article every month.
The US is not the entire world thankfully.
The water wars aren’t in the US.
Never heard of the Colorado River, huh?
There is no war… yet.
You aren't selfish for having kids and doing your best to nurture them. We all share collective responsibility to take action for the issues our species face.
Some people think they can absolve themselves of responsibility and simply vote all the problems away, but the people they are voting in barely have the energy to acknowledge or even address the issues, let alone work towards actual solutions.
I don't think that people having kids are selfish either. It's just one of those things you see so often regarding the issue of climate change. The people espousing that view are simply using it as an easy out to absolve themselves of any responsibility in my opinion.
Educating and preparing younger generations to address the issues they will face is unfortunately the most likely way to resolve such issues, and I've chosen to take that challenge upon myself despite how difficult and costly it is to raise children now compared to when my parents had me.
These people just have no hope. They have given up on humanity. They are preparing themselves for the worst.
We can choose differently. We can look to what is in our power to mitigate suffering. We can raise awareness and take direct action.
Is it not selfish to throw your hands up and give up because governments are choosing inaction and corporations are out of control?
I'm a childless (for life) gay person and I'm not a Christian. Nice personal attack, though.
We all share responsibility to take real action to focus our species on solutions to avoid mass suffering and death.
I do take some fairly serious steps towards anticonsumption and reducing my footprint, such as not eating meat. One of the steps I have taken to reduce the environmental damage that I cause is to not have children. This has an additional effect of preventing their suffering and death.
This seems to be perfectly in line with your stated goal.
Your personal choices are your own decision, but I do think it's admirable for you to claim personal responsibility.
Though, shaming or judging others for wanting to have a family and continue their genetic line is not something I advocate for.
Your small steps to reduce your impact simply aren't enough. Even if they were bigger than they are, it still doesn't put you on a pedestal to look down on others for their decisions. You are free to do so, but you won't get my approval.
We need worldwide change. Vastly reducing animal agriculture and non-essential industry is imperative.
Choosing to not consume meat doesn't solve the major issue. It doesn't make even make a small dent and virtue signalling about your choices doesn't do anything either.
People buy this stuff because it's usually cheap and readily available. It's cheap and readily available because there is almost no regulation.
Slowly phasing out factory farming and animal agriculture and replacing it with lab-grown meat is necessary. We also need to explore non-meat protein sources more seriously, the options that exist just suck, they are expensive (besides tofu), and many products contain common allergens, like soy and wheat.
You seem to be going out of your way to respond negatively to someone who is trying to do something. But you seem mistaken in thinking that I'm seeking some sort of approval.
No, I'm more interested in setting an example that others can follow. Are you familiar with the quote "be the change that you want to see"? I don't tell people not to eat meat. I let my actions speak for me and simply show them that it can be done, and how to do it. This goes for other anticonsumption habits that I practice as well.
Are you okay? I'm not a Marxist-Leninist or an authoritarian. The personal attacks keep coming, but you aren't hitting the mark.
Regardless, I'm sorry you feel that way. Check out r/solarpunk or slrpnk.net to see more nuanced discussion on the issues our species faces and what we can do.
Hey, you’re the one who said not having kids is giving up. Weirdo.
Go back to Reddit
If that's truly your view, then your continued existence is both selfish and hypocritical
Hey buddy, if it was easier to push the power button I would.
I’m 42 and I’ve been told this like every 5 years or so.
And have you not seen things heading in that direction? I’m 57 and I sure as hell have.
Oh yes definitely I’ve seen it slowly going from bad to worse, I guess i meant to say that I’m tired and exhausted from it. And from no one in power actually wanting to do anything about fixing it.
Bernie Sanders has been screaming consistently about it for decades.
Fun fact! The people who control who is in power!
The people don't want change. They want their luxury, their excess. Even at the cost of the world.
That's on the people to vote for people who actually care.
Green parties rarely win, and that's on us.
We are the extinction event
Don't worry, they are not growing up
Why pick (great) grandparents as the reference point?
Wouldn't it be more practical to compare them with their parents?
Edit: the actual study does show comparative data for other cohorts (i.e. every decade since 1960). Unless the average LiveScience reader is in their 60s, they just picked a weirdly unrelatable way to describe the study.
The calm before the storm.
What we've got now is peanuts compared to what kind of future we're looking towards.
yay.
Yeah but don't stop having kids because we need underpaid nursing home staff to work in the hell we made.
Just wait till tomorrow to have your kids. Kegels it in!
When they don't get to grow up. The species expires. Good job OG&E, way to go. Stupid greedy corporate shills. 😓
almost every parent is irresponsible selfish trash. there's no need to put a person through a lifetime of pain just so you can have a few years of fun playing mommy.
Wow. You know there have to be people alive to fix this climate problem, right? “Oh, we done fucked the world up, time to species suicide!”
Drink some tea, dude.
Such is life
Stop eating animals! Proof that you care and commit to change a destructive habit.
I’ll do that if you remove every part of your life that touches anything even remotely having to do with oil.
Why pick something super difficult?
I try, but it is hard! Eating lentils instead of animal tissue for protein is very easy. Putting soy milk in your porridge instead of udder milk is very easy. You just buy a product that tastes slightly different next time you go shopping. BÄM! ⅔ less co2 emissions, water pollution and land use from your meal. Well done! It's the single most powerful thing you can do effortlessly by yourself.
My point is more that this is like someone arguing that a person should stop spilling their drink of the floor of the titanic while it’s sinking.
This doomer attitude will get us nowhere, it drags everyone into apathy and indifference. Your politicians like you like that. But every decimal warming counts. Please give meaning to your existence and stand for something. Not because your impact is so great, but because it's the right thing to do. Don't just roll on your back and give up just because you like cheese too much.
Just like all the companies that told us we need to recycle more rather than they having to change anything they were doing. You’ve got an agenda, that’s fine but maybe be a little more circumspect in delivering it.
Oh, I absolutely want corporations to pay for what they do to us and our childrens lifes! And I agree recycling is (mostly) a scam. But stop eating animals is not a distraction from systemic change, it fuels it. Animal Agriculture is a vile industry build on exploitation and destruction, the evidence is only a click away if you dare to look at it. And you, Lobotomo, pay this industry daily to keep going. Destroying ecosystems, polluting communities, exploiting workers, killing sentient being by the billions. You could exclude your family from this today, but you deliberately choose not to. I'm asking you to take the most obvious babystep out of the global suicide machine. It's a big FUCK YOU to Corporate Farming as well, and everybody likes that. :)
I know it's not the solution, I'm not an idiot. Please keep fighting, you can do both! But no solution will be enough without us changing what we eat.
goddam maga infants /s
GDP growth is also very high, and our productivity is increasing with Cloud, AI, and automation. So we will have more people to deal with it in the future at least.
