Allegedly Elon contacted Reddit and got /r/cyberstuck shut down
cross-posted from: https://hexbear.net/post/4549656
The community has "reopened" since this post yesterday but all content that exists on the sub up to one month ago has been removed. The sub is now totally inactive as you can't make new posts.

TF is that comment from a mod supposed to mean? Isn't cyberstuck supposed to be a shitposting sub/community for the cybertruck? Was it ostensibly raided or something?
It was, but it turned into posting about everything wrong with the cyber truck. Like things falling off, getting stuck, not working,,etc, slicing deers in half
Reddit is cancer anyways.
Truly cannot imagine how much worse off I'd be mentally if I stayed on Reddit the last few years.
+1
Left reddit, got my life back. Spez did me a solid here
Not having an algorithm is nice, plus people here are generally nicer and less tolerant of shitty behavior.
I felt this so hard. I can’t believe I spent hours sucked into that hateful void.
For all its flaws, on Lemmy there is at least the option of picking a different instance if you don't like the way your current one is managed. I also like that karma isn't a thing here because in my opinion it is one of the main reasons Reddit is such an echo chamber.
This.
::: spoiler Spoiler I do not miss those low effort, repetitive, highly upvoted content. People there cannot just upvote and move on, they have to post some wasteful content and whereas it was one downvoted into oblivion, that changed long long ago. I have an ancient Reddit account and over a decade ago, the place became unrecognizable from those early days of people just want to share and talked about cool shit. :::
The conservative, ml and the hex bear you might want to avoid
Almost all parts of Lemmy are too radical, and it has become a tool for further radicalisation by external forces.
We have API access and no spez, so that's still better than reddit in my book.
Too radical for you is what you mean.
Citation needed.
Extremism is brain rot. It has nothing to do with me.
It's the same mechanics that make people join cults. It's what got people to follow trump.
Divide and conquer. Youre being played by the same guys that play magas, and you're supposed to turn violent.
I agree with you. Lemmy is quickly turning into a place where you can watch the left eat itself the same way the right did. And I absolutely believe this place is already severely infiltrated by bad faith actors.
you can leave
can you provide some evidence?
I doubt admins will ever release some, since theyre ml enthusiasts.
They love whats happening here and support it.
I saw it happening on reddit almost 10 years ago, people laughed at me. Now I see it here and people laugh at me.
so you are making claims that you can't support
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9606324/
Do you deny this is what we see on Lemmy?
Do you deny that admins are Supporting dictators? (Hint, just Look at their public profiles)
Lemmy is easy game, you need less than 100 accounts to dictate discourse, and if admins close their eyes, they can roam free.
The sub is dead, long live the community!
Another fantastic reason to be here instead of Reddit.
Hmmmmm. Interesting that their post was removed by admins.
I currently see a different message:
From the same user as OPs pic?
Yup. Guy is definitely compromised they were calling it a wankpanzer on the auto mod within the week.
Breakdowns should definitely count as being stuck. If crashes can reasonably be attributed over confidence in vehicle autonomy then imo those should also qualify as stuck too as it's a Tesla failure resulting in a person/ vehicle being stuck.
Any evidence??? Or just “people are saying this so I’ll say it too”?
This is an unverified reddit comment, so please take with discretion:
One of the assistant mods posted about this on the Subreddit Drama thread. They explained that it seems to have been a confluence of two issues: 1) Reddit, reportedly at the behest of Elon, is using AI to crack down on a wide spectrum of political comments. So automated moderation has already been made high sensitive. 2) Tesla and more specifically the Cybertruck have become a symbol of the frustration towards Elon, thus the Cyberstuck subreddit became a lightning rod for charged political comments.
Combine 1 & 2 above and the head mod is now getting a lot more work dropped in their lap. The assistant mod says the head mod was getting more angry by the day and seems to have just snapped. Like I said, I didn't verify this and no way to know if other forces were acting behind the scenes.
I can confirm that for the first time ever, I got dinged in what I can only assume was an AI for posting threats of violence. What I said was the subject should turn upside down so the blood could rush to her brain and she could have a rational thought.
he thought it could be non-political? what is the mod smoking, the cybertruck was politicla from the moment he sold it,a nd bought twitter before releasing this trash.
This is the perfect chance for someone to comment somewhere on there or Redditalternatives sub (not me because I'm not posting to Reddit anymore) the ![email protected] community.
And if you want to take recruitment efforts one stel further, make posts to our cyberstuck community, then take screenshots and add lemmy links in "cross-posts" to relevant Reddit subs!
The enspezification of reddit is accelerating.
Anything Elmo touches turns to shit. He's like a reverse king Midas.
Reddit is more than willing to acquiesce to daddy musk because spez is eager to greedily gobble up the dingleberries that fall from edolf’s asshole and pretend they are the greatest meal he’s ever consumed. Reddit has become trash since going public. They don’t give a fuck about free speech.
About 6 months ago, I got banned from a bunch of tesla subs instantly after making a single comment in the r/cyberstuck sub. The Reddit mods are complicit in all of this censorship as well. Fuck edolf, fuck spez, fuck the mods, and fuck Reddit.
he already did on 2 occasions, first in januarary which led to the whitepeopletwitter ban, followed by temporary bans of many subs contrary to "conservative thinking" subs. which began the series of purges in feb and March. it was wierd my comments were starting to getting removed before the feb purge, when everyone was railing on the terrible cars.
and the MOD comment of the repost, as soon as you know they use the buzzword as a foreigner"american" you can pretty much tell this guy is most likely a russian mod infiltrated the sub at some point. since the cybertruck is primarly sold only in the USA, almost no other countries have a cybertruck sold in large numbers. his original plan, was to stroke elons ego, by pushing him to fix the defects, but it dint turn out the way he did.
Reddit forcing people to lemmy just on the whims of one pathetic wimp is objectively hilarious
They forced it through site wide purges
Yeah, but they're not sending their best.
lol whatever. Reddit is crap, anyway.
Correction: free-speech absolutist Elon Musk did that.
It will soon be back, and in greater numbers.
What a fucking loser. You have all the money in the world and this is the type of shit you get upset over? Somebody please remove this shit stain from Iron Man 2 already.
Someone should advertise this sub over there and welcome them over!
