I need a new alarm app.

I've been using the default clock app on Samsung phones as my alarm(s), for almost two decades.

A recent update has changed the 'upcoming alarm' notification. You have the option to dismiss/shut off an alarm that's supposed to sound in the next 5-30min via that notification; but a recent update has changed that to dismiss ALL upcoming alarms for the entire day, as well as every upcoming alarm for future days if they're set for the same time.

I used to have a sporadic work schedule with varying start times; so I'd set/schedule my alarms for the next week or two in advance. If I set one for 8am tomorrow and one for 8am four days from now; dismissing that first alarm at 7:40am also dismisses the one that's four days away...

If I set alarms for 8am, 10am, and noon today; dismissing the first one at 7:45 dismisses all three alarms together...

There is no options to change this, the only related setting is for how early that 'upcoming alarm' notification shows up (5, 15, or 30min)

What alarm app do you use? Got a recommendation?

/edit

People seem to be misunderstanding me. I don't have trouble waking up/snoozing alarms too much.

I just need a typical alarm app, but one that doesn't dismiss a bunch of unrelated alarms instead of just the one that's supposed to go off very soon.

I was just curious if people had a particular one they liked.

Telegrams t.me domain put on 'Server Hold' effectively disabling it worldwide.

Telegram’s core domain t.me has been placed on serverHold at the .me registry, effectively removing it from global DNS and rendering all t.me links inaccessible.

The change occurred today, according to domain records. As of now, there has been no official explanation from Telegram, the .me registry, or backend operator Identity Digital.

A serverHold is a registry-level status that completely dead-ends the domain, preventing it from resolving anywhere in the world.

'Show all comments' and 'show context' are identical. Why even have both?

When viewing a limited thread of comment's (for example, clicking on a comment from my history) There are two buttons at the top of the comments: 'Show context' (which should just show the next comment up the chain) And 'show all comments'

Both of these buttons have done exactly the same thing for the entire time I've used this app (around a year now): they both show the next comment up the chain.

You have to tap either button several times to get to the full list of comments. ie, show all comments. It doesn't matter which of the two you use, they both only show the next comment and not the full thread.

hmmm

I found this today, on the removable power cord for an EZ-8 Drum Sander.

I have so many questions...

First of all, am I understanding this right: Do not use this in areas where anaesthetics are administered?

....Why not?

What happened, where that oddly specific label became necessary?

Just the power cord? (It's a 50' cord that adapts a 6" twist-lock pigtail into a standard 15amp american outlet) Or the whole sander?

OpenVPN ipv4 troubles.

I host an openVPN server, from an IPv4 network/public IP. I also have a domain that points to that public IPv4 address and nothing else. (there's some subdomains behind cloudflare, but the base domain just has an A record pointed at my public ipv4, no AAAA records.)

Lately, I've noticed my connection dramatically slows down while on mobile data and the server IP address displayed in the VPN client is NOT the address my domain points to. It is instead, an IPv6 address that I do not recognize.... I do still have a connection, which gives me access to my private services, so I am successfully reaching my server.

What could be causing this? Would this be something to do with IPv6 (my phone) -> IPv4 (my server)?

I can manually specify my IPv4 address in the openvpn client and get a connection, so why would it retrieve and use an IPv6 address? Where is that address even comming from, it's not in my DNS...?

/edit:

openvpn-status.log shows the remote client as connected from an ipv4 address which matches what comes up at whatismyipaddress.com viewed from the client while disconnected from the VPN. (it displays both an IPv6 and an IPv4 for the phones mobile data connection, openvpn sees the ipv4 when connected)

So the server sees the phones IPv4 as the source of the connection, but the phone is using an IPv6 address I don't recognize to reach the server...

Spoiler tags can't render bold/italic text in the title

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/59348743

When using spoiler tags, if you add bold/italic formatting to the title, the title is hidden as part of the spoiler in Jerboa, instead of being rendered as a title with bold/italics.

::: spoiler Regular spoiler Regular spoiler :::

::: spoiler Bold Title Bold title :::

::: spoiler Italic Title Italic title :::

The example that brought me here:

Cross posted, because it seems Boost suffers from the same problem: not rendering bold/italic spoiler titles correctly.

Boost however renders the Bold/Italics and ignores the spoiler tags, while Jerboa just hides the bold/italic title within the spoiler, displaying no title at all.
