Some poorly made reusable shopping bags rip or otherwise break before they get used enough times to break even with the single use disposable plastic shopping bags they are supposed to replace. Especially the cheap ones bring given out as freebies.

Don't forget to tip your gas station

Reply in thread

This meme isn't implying that it's unusual to pump your own gas. It's implying that tipping culture in the US is progressing to the point of asking you to tip when you didn't receive a service performed by anyone since you did it yourself.

Self service is the default for most of the US. New Jersey and (I think) Oregon require full service gas stations though.

Turkey Temptation

Does this actually work to coock it?

Doesn't seem safe to try to get your cock in it while it's in the hot spring. Maybe you could find a way to make it could actually work...but why? Are you a masochist or something?

Is it at all edible?

Sous vide method would probably have the most chance Of being edible since the turkey would be vacuum sealed

Is there any environmental impact or downside?

Yes. That's why the park service is saying not to do this. You'd be introducing new chemicals into a delicate ecosystem and also potentially physically damaging it.

AI error jails innocent grandmother for months in North Dakota fraud case

According to the court documents, the Fargo detective working the case then looked at Lipps' social media accounts and Tennessee driver's license photo.

In his charging document, the detective wrote that Lipps appeared to be the suspect based on facial features, body type and hairstyle and color.

Seems like a possibility the detective could have conveniently "forgot" to mention that the initial identification was by AI.
