Israel slams UN chief for saying Hamas attack ‘did not happen in a vacuum,’ calls for his resignation

Reply in thread

Hamas terrorist attacks sucked. Bombing whole city blocks in retaliation sucks. Indeed.

Personally I'm astonished how many seems to find it easy picking a side. The more I learn the less I feel sure about anything except that the whole situation sucks.

Picking a side sucks. Not picking a side sucks. I'm glad I don't have political influence for this one.

No escape

A hobby of mine is to get annoyed at hand dryers. 80% of the models I find are eyerollingly useless. Blow a faint breeze for five seconds, stop and refuse to trigger again no matter how much you try to slap the air in front of it.

Then there are those 5% that actually gets it. Blowing a jet stream that makes the water droplets sublimate so fast you forget you even washed.

Whats your such opinion

An even less popular opinion: if you care enough about climate change to not have children you should have children. The alternative is that only people who don't care about climate change will have children.

Anyways, the fertility rate has dropped very quickly all over the developed world and the world is turning developed quickly. I'm not saying that will solve climate change but it looks like overpopulation is at least going to be solved.

It's a mystery

The problem with these rage inducing subreddits is that they seldom seem to propose or encourage any solution or alternative. So it ends up becoming a kind of circle jerk of learned helplessness.

It seems like a common internet thing. Rage bait and learned helplessness. We learn to accept that there's nothing to do because people and politicians are idiots because "look at all this stuff".

And often this aligns with advertising tech because it makes us engaged and seeking comfort of continued scrolling when we get a steady stream of anxiety injections. It's low key like an abusive relationship.

xkcd #2846: Daylight Saving Choice

I like how your suggestions successively became more radical.

But, Julian calendar? Still a rookie I see.

The calendar year has 13 months with 28 days each, divided into exactly 4 weeks (13 × 28 = 364). An extra day added as a holiday at the end of the year (after December 28, i.e. equal December 31 Gregorian), sometimes called "Year Day", does not belong to any week and brings the total to 365 days.

I suspect about 1% of the world cares enough to even have this discussion though.

Now I want a team based FPS game where classes are the economic classes.

And you can decide to revolt and switch around the teams to make it proletariat versus bourgeoisie. (The French sure have weird spelling btw)

What ever team that can hold the most strategic points/means of production long enough wins.

Ignorance or enlightenment?

I mean it's more like social media in general is dying. Alex here is the future.

Edit: I knew a guy that was a little bit like this. I.e. young and nerdy enough that I'd expect him to have his eyeballs on the news feed, but no. I used to have to explain references to a bunch of stuff that was "going on" because he didn't care about being "up to date".

Whenever I explained one of those things it rarely felt like knowing that stuff was worth it. It's mostly noise.
