I expected nothing less from them. They did pretty much the same exact thing when Japan tried confronting them after they started blocking Japanese retailers from trading internationally. I can't find the article anymore but IIRC, Japan's Prime Minister tried having an in person interview with them about it but it was cut short because he stormed out of the room after Visa tried denying everything. I don't think that the payment processors will ever take responsibility for their actions.

The thing that I don't understand is that, if this is such a big problem for Microsoft, why not just remove the system requirements or at least make an alternative version of Windows 11 that, even if it lacks certain features, doesn't have those requirements?

Microsoft wants people to switch to Windows 11 but a majority stay with Windows 10 because their systems don't have what's required and they're either not willing to use Linux or they can't for what ever their reason is. Making Windows 11 more accessible to Windows 10 users would fix this problem for most users but they're not for some reason. I know they're Microsoft and Microsoft doesn't care about their users but they're seemingly willing to lose a significant portion of their users over something so insignificant, which is out of character for Microsoft.

If this happens, I'd be interested in seeing how this effects ChromeOS. I don't use it but my mom does.

Also, if you're confused as to why ChromeOS would be effected, while it's based on Gentoo Linux, ChromeOS uses a modified version of Chrome as it's Desktop Environment.

Here's the thing, I don't want Microslop to apologize. Apologies don't mean shit from major corporations unless actual change happens. It's appalling just how bad Windows is compared to Linux, despite the fact that Linux is free and Windows is a "premium" OS. There are so many things, both big and small, that Linux does better than Windows. Microslop is currently worth almost 3 trillion dollars, they have no excuse.

In fact, something that I saw some time ago, was a video of Tiny 11 being booted into with just 184MB of ram. It didn't run that well, as it was pretty much unusable for multiple reasons, but this proves that Microslop has plenty of room for improvements in Windows to match Linux in terms of performance.

What goal do the payment processors have for doing things like this, is it just that they like knowing that they have the ability to control what you are and aren't allowed to enjoy? I ask this because normally, when services change their policies, it's done to improve profits. But from what I can tell, the payment processors can only lose money because they are eliminating potential revenue sources.

I will admit that I have no interest in any of the games that were removed, I've never even heard of them before today, but I don't agree with payment processors having the ability to sensor content over some schizo bullshit.

Why? What benefit would Microsoft have in changing the requirements for Windows 11 when Windows 12 will more than likely be the OS they focus most of their resources on?

I know that this is just Microsoft trying get user feedback but because it's Microsoft, it still seems bad. It's just seems so disingenuous when a company like Microsoft, that usually ignores all user feedback, tries to get user feedback for a product that, if they actually listened to user feedback, they would already know that a majority of Windows users don't want.

I was wondering why I couldn't see descriptions and comments on seemingly random videos for the past two days. Also, it's weird because I use Ublock Origin on Firefox and it's rare that these changes actually effect Ublock Origin. It seems like it may be fixed now though, but I haven't been actively checking.

I will always find it funny that people use Edge to download Chrome because they are essentially using Chrome to download a worse version of Chrome.

The benefits of keeping old devices. Before we moved several years ago, I had several computers/laptops, storage devices and some other miscellaneous devices that I'd be able to use and actually benefit from if I had kept them.

• I have games that I can't get working on either Linux or newer versions of Windows.

• Hard drives from old computers and laptops can be relatively cheaply converted into external hard drives and, while they wont be fast and possibly not reliable if used too much, they offer decent storage for the price.

• I often use smaller storage devices (like SD cards and MP3 players) for transferring files from one computer to another and I also like to use them as temporary storage to preserve my hard drives when I don't need fast storage.

Another thing I wish I had known about, was just how quickly emulation would get good for older games. I've wasted so much money from buying older/retro consoles because I thought that emulation would stay as just a niche interest. Nowadays, while some games and systems are still iffy, you can emulate a wide variety of consoles and a lot of emulators even work well on some older and low end devices.

I once saw someone running Doom on a pregnancy tester, so I'd imagine that it could run Linux as well.

Seeing this pains me, especially considering Id Software's history with Linux. Prior to being bought by Bethesda, most of Id's games had official native Linux ports. Even Doom 3 had a native Linux port, it doesn't seem to work anymore but there are source ports like Dhewm3 available for it.

AT&T. We recently had an issue where our internet stopped working properly. My mom had to call them four times before they actually fixed our internet. The first time, she was put on hold for about 40 minutes before either the call ended itself or they hung up. The second time, she actually got through to someone but they didn't fix our internet and instead told us that our current internet package would soon be phased out and then spent about half an hour basically forcing her to getting something called "AT&T Air".

The third time she called, my mom told them that she didn't want AT&T Air and that if she can't use the package we have now, then we'll be switching ISPs. The woman on the phone said that she'll cancel the new package and put her on hold for about half an hour but she never did actually cancel the package or fix our internet, and she also never returned so my mom just hung up on her. The fourth time she called, the guy on the phone ran a diagnosis on our internet and finally fixed it within a few minutes. We have no idea why it took so long for them to do this but we're glad to finally have working internet.

But even though we do now have working internet, we are still thinking about switching ISPs. Even though they did send the equipment to use AT&T Air, we are not going to use it and we are going to send it back and try to get them to actually cancel the package. We aren't sure exactly when we are going to switch ISPs but my mom stated she wants to wait until after the holidays to do so, which probably means no sooner than January.

One that I'm aware of is "tskr" in Japanese. It's a slang term that derives from たすかる (tasukaru). The meaning depends on the context and it can mean something like either "you saved me" or "thanks for helping me".

I guess that's cool but Epic Games will still be at the bottom of my list of game/app stores that I use.

For context, I've been using a chart of game/app store with scores based on multiple categories and sorting them into a list to keep track of which ones I should be prioritizing. With on how I currently have them rated, the Epic Games Store will go from a 1/10 to a 4/10, which means that it's still at the bottom of my list.

I would say that I'm glad that I don't live in Texas but the state I live in has also been slowly following this Nazi rhetoric as well, so it's only a matter of time before we're effected as well.

A mechanic to permanently gain new attacks and/or abilities by mastering equipment. I haven't seen that many games have this mechanic and it's mostly been adult games for some reason. I think Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is the only non-adult game I've seen to have this mechanic.

I just remembered another one. The Gambits system from Final Fantasy 12. I've always liked this mechanic because it almost completely automates battles, allowing you to focus more on exploration and treasure hunting. I have only seen two games do this and, once again, FF12 is the only non-adult game I've seen with this type of mechanic.
