[OC] Rob & Nul - Living Dead Phenomenon
This is one of many drawings I made long ago; I used to post them on WordPress but I heard word about drama from the CEO of the company behind the platform so I left.
Basically, my character Rob has a family when he brings home a friendly zombie from a local graveyard in the area that stays with them.
The zombie鈥檚 name is Maria Antonio, named after the French queen Marion Antoinette.
What are some books about marrying a zombie?
Apart from the Warm Bodies series by Isaac Marion because I tried reading that and the zombie named R started getting drunk.
Favorite video game company?
Example: I differ from company to company.
I would say either Atari or Sega, but I've been playing a lot of Nintendo lately even if I barely use my NES or my Switch.
I think the SNES is cool and now believe the Genesis was overhyped and marketed poorly like their other consoles though I made a living playing the Saturn and Dreamcast.
I am a PSO hunter, but I seldom play it anymore.
Atari is now a niche company with a deeper legacy than Nintendo, being the first popular video game company still alive and releasing new software and hardware to boot.
Nintendo, however, is the more popular video game brand while Atari is now a much smaller company than before but still active with arcade cabinets, home consoles, and games.
I'm not sure what I really like anymore but currently I think Nintendo so far is nice with their Super Nintendo console.
I've been playing Super Mario World and F-Zero lately.
Do movies give you sensory overload?
Also, am I the only autistic here who hates watching movies and television?
They always abuse my senses, yet everyone loves them and doesn鈥檛 care how I feel about it and they seem not to care about my autism either because they play painful movies all the time and without acknowledging my needs.
I suspect they think watching movies all day every day is supposed to be therapy for me but I try to watch movies on my own and they all abuse my senses and then they play those exact same movies I watch because therapy.
Rarely do I watch movies anymore because of my senses being assaulted and my needs as an autistic person are constantly neglected by either people who like entertainment or people who think entertainment is also therapy.
At the very least, my dad is a moviegoer and he understands better than any human authority figure I know that I cannot handle movies no matter what I or someone put on.
And then people attack my autism as well.
Or they coax me into recognizing my actions against my will when my autism makes me different than anyone anywhere in the world.
Because it鈥檚 not about living with a neurological difference, it鈥檚 about being forced to behave normally when there鈥檚 no such thing as normal for people everywhere I go.
Sorry, I went on a tangent, but you understand.
What browser is better: DuckDuckGo or Vivaldi?
My current browser is DuckDuckGo because I like to use it to protect my privacy on the Web.
I heard word about Vivaldi being a popular browser for Fediverse users but I never tried it.
I鈥檓 not sure which one is necessarily better.
How do you deal with autism stigma?
I鈥檝e been stigmatized by many people throughout my life because I involuntarily do things they often criticize me for because they think I鈥檓 doing it all on purpose but I鈥檓 not.
People stigmatize me because they aren鈥檛 very accepting of me or they blame me for my actions claiming I should be responsible for them or they treat me like a regular person who they think tolerates what they call discipline even though they don鈥檛 understand.
What do I think? At the end of the day, it鈥檚 all about what you believe in: nobody鈥檚 wrong about anything, everyone could鈥檝e handled it better even if they鈥檙e doing the best they can, and personally I think other people don鈥檛 define who you are whether they know you or not because it鈥檚 hard to tell anymore what is right or wrong鈥t least that鈥檚 what I鈥檓 told.
Even arguing with my parents produces stigmatic responses because I did something unusual in front of them: everyone I run into does that, and I didn鈥檛 even do it on purpose.
But they do tell me some good advice though, and while they鈥檙e not perfect they鈥檙e not bad.
I bring this up because I argued with my father at home before we calmed down and apologized to each other and made up for it.
No other person has that deep a relationship besides some friends and families I know from another place, and while religion is unpopular on Lemmy I follow Christianity which gives my life a purpose and a better meaning than just personal success like everyone else.
No one鈥檚 perfect, but everyone鈥檚 fine that way.
Who else faces autism stigma daily like me?
Who pursues foreign languages here?
As a moderator, I contributed to this instance and tried to discuss languages (Languages on Autism Place) or playing Minecraft (Minecraft on Autism Place) but sometimes I get torn between pursuing languages (and their corresponding cultures, countries, and being able to talk to them) or focusing on my regular daily life speaking English and practicing foreign languages as a second pastime.
I know some speak foreign languages here, but does anyone else practice foreign languages besides who I know?
My history of reading comic books [comic books]
My first comic books were read on apps like Marvel Unlimited (The Incredible Hulk) or DC Universe Infinite (Superman: American Alien...ugh, worst comic ever) before I canceled my subscriptions to try collecting them myself.
My next comic book series was Spawn by Todd Macfarlane.
I initially bought the Origins series on Barnes & Noble to read on Nook before I decided to continue the series on Hoopla where I could read more of the series.
Eventually, I shied away from the comic because the drama was too intense for me for an undead anti-hero comic and I had decided to go back to read both Marvel and DC.
I read a lot of golden-age Batman with his trusty sidekick Robin the Boy Wonder (Dick Grayson) among other titles like Superman, Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil but could only borrow 6 titles at a time.
Then I played one game and completely switched back to indie comics to read Mike Mignola's Hellboy from Dark Horse Comics, a well-written but rather dark comic about a devil summoned by an occultist in WWII before later working as an occult detective at the BRPD in the USA.
That comic was so good, yet so dark and scary as a Dark Horse comic that I put it down and started using Libby.
Then, I read Batman again and read about the Court of Owls (I won't spoil it) before reading and not liking Watchmen by Vertigo Comics for being raunchy and cynical and mature.
Sort of wanting to read up on Iron Man: Extermis to disassociate from Iron Man 3 for disrespecting the comics and borrowing from other movies all on a dare from an actor to a director with no experience adapting the comics.
As far as I know, that my history of reading comics till now.
I hope Extremis will be a good read unlike watching the film.
What is your favorite Fediverse platform?
I'll go first...
My favorite Fediverse platforms as of 2024
-
Mastodon - my main social feed platform that first introduced me to the Fediverse in general.
-
Lemmy - my second main social feed platform that originally substituted Reddit from years ago.
-
Matrix protocol - communication platform I use to connect with users on the Lemmy instance I'm on
-
Peertube - would love to get an account going and use it more often but still don't know how but there's FediVideo.
-
Bookwyrm - Goodreads alternative that I signed up for that could use more work for a genuine reading tracker.
BONUS: my least favorite Fediverse platform lately
WordPress - because I used to run art blogs on there before I heard word about drama about the CEO of the corporation so I basically had to put out my last existing art blog...RIP.

This is how I connected for PSO.
I鈥檝e mostly hunted on Ragol years ago when lately I decided to start over to avoid playing the Ultimate difficulty at level 74 to 75.
Click here to see any games online now: https://dreamcastlive.net/games/
I also appeared on the DreamcasticChannel a couple of times myself years ago on YouTube:
