The reddit experience

I play FFXIV. I once criticized the producer in an FFXIV subreddit for promising things he doesn't deliver, I immediately got banned.

The subreddit has nothing to do with Square Enix. Modding in Reddit is just a way for Reddit mods to silence whoever they want without reproach.

I was sharing music with a friend and their reaction upon being shown an artist (not even listening) was "ew less than 100k monthly listens”

bro? is this your metric for good music ? how many people listen to it on Spotify ?

if this is how avg ppl see music it explains a lot about top 40 charts

That escalated quickly...

unironically this shit is so prevalent in the programming community that I can't help to laugh and shrug it off

remember: YouTubers are just that, most of them don't even work with the tech they gloat about

and for devlopment tools/frameworks/dependencies the mantra is: boring tech works, just remember that it needs to be currently supported/developed

Truly Lossless Music

If anyone's wondering why you would do this as a musician.

Obviously you can visualize how you'd play something, but skipping the obvious things..

You can do music theory analysis on pieces you're interested on, it's something that helps later with improvisation or composition

It also helps you understand the style you're studying a bit more, it takes a lot of effort although with years of experience you can probably analyze a piece of music fairly fast, and on the bus even

No Microslop for me

extremely based, I have no idea how any dev at my company tolerates windows.

in addition to how extremely slow and incapable the OS is in general,we have to submit tickets to run software because everything is installed through random .exes.
