YouTube's anti-adblock rollout has finally arrived for Firefox users

I wouldn't even mind giving some money to youtube if it was asking for donations or keep the the prices low and accessible, like $4 max per month to support the up keep)

YouTube could be one of the wonders of the world of we are looking at it at a content perspective.

It should be almost protected by UNESCO, if you ask me.. yes even the stupid stuff as it is a record of mankind.

But google instead of recognising the value, they got greedy.

humankin created a massive information library which google at some point decided to monetize.

We all know what happened to unity right, just as a recent example ? it doesn't take much to turn the users away, and I truly believe, even youtube can fail

Imagine voting for someone that wants to get rid of the department of education.

I just don't get it. Every time a right wing government people get fucked and more fucked. Arguably even with left governments, but brexit / trump / bosonaro level fucked it's is hard to achieve..

And people still vote for these train wrecks..

What am I missing? What do I need to do get it? Lower my iq seems to be a possible answer, but I'm really struggling to see it

Relay users are now paying up to 4.99$ per month to use Reddit API

yep. I also came from reddit and I've been using relay since the beginning.

I have so much time for relay for reddit. it's a great application and I have plenty of time for the developer too

he's the only one who didn't abandon the ship when the spez made those idiotic changes and came up with a workaround.

But yes, it costs money.

My take is if you still like to use reddit on mobile, that's the way to go.

Having said that, there's another app called redreader which is still free and very decent, but stuck in the stone age compared to relay.

The 4.99 cost is one of the options the devs provides too. there are more.

it's either that or ads with crap functionality, especially on mobile.

I hope the developer will also develop something for lemmy at some point. he's awesome, for what I can tell.
