Really feels like we just need one popular leftist to brand themselves as the freedom party or some stupid name like that and convince all the dumbasses to support tons of popular shit they already want and need to fix things. They'd just need to not say anything about what they believe on things not related to policy.
I'm not holding my breath either though

Went for the herring first and then didn't know the band King Crimson so I tried helter skelter first. Purple is just dumb today. Also do people give luggage for wedding gifts?

Anyone know what's on my hot pepper leaves?
Reply in thread
Yeah I just saw some moving as well when I was wiping the leaves. They're all over the stems too so I'll probably need to make some kind of spray to make sure I get them all

That joke is one of the long standing debates among Wikipedia editors about whether any humor is allowed on the site. I know I heard more about it at some point (maybe from a podcast or yt vid) but I saved a link to an oped someone wrote about it. Here's an excerpt:
Wikipedia is a place for learning. As an encyclopedia, we owe our readers accuracy, verifiability, and reliability. We pride ourselves on the fact that when people come here for knowledge, they usually come away with error-free, well-summarized, usable information. But we have forgotten one key element that makes Wikipedia successful – joy. It's not that our editors lack joy – like most of you, I'm here because I love doing this. There's true pleasure in making things a little bit better one edit at a time. But as soon as a smidgen of joy makes its way out from behind the curtain and into the gaze of our readers, it is expunged. We are not, collectively speaking, any fun at all.
I'll cite four examples, but there are others you may remember. For years, a number of editors have waged a battle to keep this simple joke off of Wikipedia – specifically, off of Guy Standing's page. Elsewhere, a dedicated corps of Wikipedians have diligently ensured that Will Smith's introductory biographical paragraph bears absolutely no resemblance to the lyrics of the Fresh Prince theme ("In West Philadelphia born and raised..."), even though he was, in fact, in West Philadelphia born and raised.

I got most of them off the leaves but there seemed to be a lot on the stems that I couldn't really get to. Part of the problem is the plants are pretty young and still not very hardy so I don't want to manhandle them too much. I tried a spray with a bit of dish soap in water and if it doesn't help much I'll try to be delicate about wiping.

I don't know much about Russian politics, but I seem to remember reading something saying that the people in potential positions to replace him are all crazy ultracons, so probably not a lot would change. Obviously the world would be better without him in general but I'm not sure how much relief it would ultimately bring.

Did we ever find out why cursive was recommended to be slanted? I'd mostly forgotten that was a thing and now it seems stupid. Probably one person thought it looked better that way and people did it to seem fancy. A lot of grammar "rules" started from one person's preferences so this might've been the same.

I get a little annoyed when the category is "things with things" when not all the answers always have the thing. Like the Yankees had Mantle and the Earth has a mantle, but an emperor isn't always wearing a cloak (although I guess in this case he has the figurative mantle of leadership, so I suppose fair enough). But a fireplace doesn't always have a mantle
