TACO Tuesday!

American here. Those of us with any sense don't care anymore about being a superpower. We know we're a fuckin joke on the world stage. We just want a working country but we know we'll likely never see that again in our lifetimes.

And yeah yeah, "then do something about it" is easily said. Getting people across thousands of miles to gather in one place with no affordable travel infrastructure is intensely difficult.

Great response. Apologies for my initial defensiveness. Most of what I see here is "well then do something about it" so I was just trying to head that off.

I agree with you. And yeah, it was always propaganda from like the 1960s onward at a minimum. Nixon fucked us over and we've been going downhill since.

Any Americans still defending this playground for pedophile billionaires are idiots who refuse to look critically at this place for even a second, and are likely part of the problem. Fuck em. There's not much to be proud of here. Some small things, mostly local, but nothing on a national scale.

Hear me out

Yeah, that'd be nice. I've had cancer twice in the last year that required a surgery, overnight stay, and multi-day recovery each. Guess who's out of PTO? Love being punished for getting sick.

It's not easy. The oversimplification here is absolutely off the wall. You don't know their situation, so saying "just leave" in the most blasé way possible because you were lucky enough for it to be easy for you is borderline insulting. Family, pets, financial situation, medical situation, and so many other factors play a role in why someone can't up and leave. It costs a lot to immigrate and move thousands of miles away. Not to mention language barriers.

Former Republican election official buys Dominion Voting — a target of 2020 conspiracy theories

I was still holding on to at least being able to vote out enough of his supporters during the midterms that we might be able to block some of their insanity or even reverse one or two things during the back half of this election cycle, but I'm pretty sure that seals it up. That's the end of voting mattering, y'all.

Well done to all who voted for him for any reason, as well as those who could have voted and didn't. I hope you all experience everything this administration wants to do to those it deems as lesser than itself.
