I don’t think you’ve got it here bub. All effort does deserve praise. If your kid tried their best in an audition and is a tree and they continue to try despite it not being what they want either, then you praise them for trying so hard to be an awesome tree.

If your kid isn’t trying, you aren’t praising effort anyway.

Maybe there’s 5 kids that excel at drama in their 1st grade class. Who knows why. But if they tried and are a tree, so be it.

Reddit is killing blockchain-based Community Points

They’re both fucking awful. The everything-is-hustle angle is garbage.

I don’t want people trying to figure out the optimal ratio of low but not too low effort posts to get paid turning everyone into a shill. Chasing karma was bad enough. People chasing money will be worse and less valuable.

Just like Twitter, when everyone is monetizing their posts everything will go to shit.

Rent requirements in the US are nuts

Nah, there’s something else that’s triggering it. Average length of credit matters a lot, so if you cancel cards and get new ones frequently that would do it.

Long term debt for sure is good, carrying balances on cards is never rewarded.

The reason they’re OK extending credit when you have debt is because they can see you are managing it. Mortgage or auto loans (asset backed) aren’t bad. Don’t carry balances on cards ever if you can avoid it.

As another poster said, there’s probably no functional difference for you between 750 and 830.

Pressure grows on Apple to open up iMessage

It is controlled and monetizable by the telcos. It isn’t better. And it’s barely standardized. Google sells a service to telcos to implement RCS that doesn’t really work well with anyone else’s RCS, or didn’t.

Go look at the amount of threads with people saying “my RCS message from my Samsung didn’t get to my friend on T-Mobile with a pixel”.

This is not the future anyone deserves.
