Strong content warning for the text of article: Death of a young trans person in the UK health care system

Joelle was 27. She was a gifted musician, a self-taught coder, funny, generous and deeply loved. She had an aggressive lymphoma that almost always curable when treated as a medical emergency. A bed was available on the cancer ward when she arrived at Wolverhampton NHS Trust. After staff saw that she was a trans woman, she was removed from the ward and placed in a side ward on the other side of the hospital.

GTA 6 is feminist slop (Video essay by LaurenZside)

Women ruined gaming again… Note: This is my first EVER scripted & researched video essay commentary video! Leave a like to let me know if you want more of this kind of video in the future!

This video is interesting insofar as it's the creator's first venture into video commentary. Due to the hype surrounding GTA6, the fascist/anti-feminist backlash bleeds into the mainstream and now people who had previously not been aware of the fascist/anti-feminist content on social media are exposed to it. [Most of the fascist/anti-feminist content creators she mentions are the usual suspects of fascist/anti-feminist content and have been at it for years.]

Menopausal Hormone Therapy Thrombotic Risk Varies by Dose, Route of Administration

Key Takeaways

A study in Denmark showed elevated venous thromboembolic risk with oral menopausal hormone therapy across the board, but elevated risk of stroke and myocardial infarction only with high-dose oral forms taken for more than 1 year.

Transdermal forms of menopausal hormone therapy did not carry those risks with the exception of heart attack risk with combined cyclic therapy.

The researchers called for communicating both what is known and what is not known about safety when considering menopausal hormone therapy with patients.

The full scientific article is here: https://www.bmj.com/content/394/bmj-2026-100688

While the subjects of the study were (as so often) cis women and the result is cannot be applied 1:1 for trans women and others, it is nonetheless a strong indicator about the associated risks of various forms of estrogen-based HRT.
