Are Latter-day Saints Christian? The U.S. Defense Department doesn’t appear to think so.

This is really the core of it. If someone starts nitpicking over the other details, they've just joined a crowd of ~46,400 other groups all called Christians arguing in a similar way.

Also it's understandable the source would focus on Mormons but I find Unitarian Universalists getting cut way more offensive. They're like the care bears of religion, come on now.

I respect the environment.

I think I understand the joke, but I've seen things from this point of view as well. Something happened during and after pandemic lockdowns that has led to absolutely unprecedented numbers of people going out and hiking what were previously really quiet trails. It was already tough maintaining them before, now you've got tons of people who don't bother to know the norms or understood rules of the parks.

Several parks near me have had to institute an admittance/ticketing program with reservations made a month in advance just to enter the trailhead lot because they're so overrun with people now. It's great that people are outside and enjoying a public resource, but maybe it's just a few too many people all at once?

Why are we so weird about speed limits (US)?

You come to a stop at a stop sign, how many seconds do you have to wait for it to be considered a full and complete stop?

Can you prove it? Does proving it even matter to the cop that pulls you over for running the stop sign?

I've had this happen and luckily the cop failed to show to court so the ticket was thrown out...but what if he had shown up? I have no idea.

They used to, then they got caught and said they stopped...then it came out the founder still did it, then he died. His son and current owner probably still does? But then one of its locations recently celebrated a gay couple's marriage and the national chain backed them up so who knows anymore.

They were right all along...

Up and down the East Coast of the US, they're known for hiding some of the absolute worst puppy mills. It used to be a big thing every time one of them got raided but you knew they were probably just going to set up shop elsewhere. If you saw an ad for golden retriever puppies way out in the countryside of Pennsylvania, you just knew they weren't going to be treated well at all and probably have horrible health problems.

But why

Jonathan Swift must have really wanted to cannibalize poor children!

I'll never forget bringing that up in a classroom and realizing adults had no idea it was satire.

Poll: Americans overwhelmingly want Trump to obey court rulings, but MAGA Republicans are split

Reply in thread

Except that isn't how the question was worded...

As you may know, a number of Trump administration actions have been challenged in the United States federal court. If a federal court rules that a Trump administration action is illegal, do you think the administration:

Has to follow the court's ruling and stop its action. (81)

Doesn't have to follow the court's ruling and can continue its action. (19)

I bolded some words for emphasis here, the question is not whether he should but whether they think he has to. Important difference.
