The joke here isn't necessarily that he's a bad husband, it's that he's a contractor and they rarely if ever stick to the due dates of building projects and going over timeframes is a common complaint from homeowners. Just trying to clarify the joke since the outrage seems a bit overkill.

Oh absolutely, the post was supposed to be sarcasm, and I should have remembered the obligatory /s, which usually seems silly to me when I see it in the wild but then forget that sarcasm is completely invisible in text format. So my bad on that one.
