Sure, it's always at least accompanied by a good spicy salsa. It's definitely different from the food further north though. Tacos are there but they're not as good as Mexico City, for the most part. My absolute favorite thing to eat there are the tlayudas especially from the vendors on the street which you, conversely, won't find up north ... at least not good ones. The mezcal is also awesome and I love a good mole ... I've still never found one as good as an ex girlfriend's mom once made me 😅 but what I had in Oaxaca came pretty close

do we have to be burdened by western existential narratives vis a vis Orwellianism that don't scale? seemingly, yes! society seemingly doesn't scale gracefully ... though China looks better-adapted to present reality

ah, and the challenges to scale once again hit the wall ... they'll have to use AI to police maintainers to keep them from using AI 😂

well I'm not sure how making them wetter would have helped. it's not a bacterial infection... drying would have done the trick

Copacabana Bolivia
Reply in thread
I think that's a good way of putting it. Apparently, there are at least six places called "Copacabana" around the world. This is the original one and derives from an Aymara phrase meaning "view of the lake." Almost all other locations trace their name back to the Bolivian town via devotion to the Virgin of Copacabana ... as per what Wikipedia and Wikitravel tell me

all fun and games until you have trench-foot at the park later in the day (happened to me) ... looks like the kid has Crocs on so maybe he's ok

You're welcome! 😅 I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'm from the States, but I've been traveling in South America for a little over a year now. I realized that I had all these pics sitting around that I've collected and thought this would be a good way to get them seen by somebody. ☺️

How do you think Americans will react if USA drops a Nuke on Iran?

Indeed, they'll take on the flavor of whatever you add to them just like potato chips. Otherwise, it's just a different crunchy texture.
