Jim Jordan tried to help Trump mount a coup. Now he gets to be speaker?

FTTP actively encourages a two party system. We need to change the way we vote so we can have better candidates and better representation.

Uber, Grubhub and DoorDash must pay NYC delivery workers an $18 minimum wage

I would say regulated capitalism in a nutshell. Raw capitalism wants to pay workers as little as possible for as much production as possible.

The 2 party system doesn't change until voting changes. First-past-the-post voting actively encourages 2 dominant parties. Ranked choice voting isn't perfect, but it's definitely better than FTTP and it has the most momentum in the US right now.

Yeah, the amount of work that has gone into these for a one-time purchase of $25 is a pretty great deal.

Lovecraft-Inspired Games (list of lists) [Videogame]
Big bump for Sundered if you like 2D Metroidvanias. I have played through it at least 5 times (you need to do it 3 times to get all the endings)

I very much enjoy the first movie. I have watched it several times and still enjoy going back to it. I absolutely agree the plot is puddle-deep, as you said, and it makes no attempt at all to disguise its analogies ("unobtanium"), but it's mastery is not in the story itself but the way in which it is told. It's almost operatic in the amount of time it spends within each story beat. The second film failed to do a lot of the things I loved about the first one and was very forgettable.

Considering a steam deck
Depends on the games you like to play. I've been working through a bunch of metroidvanias and it's great. I would much rather sit on the couch with my Deck in hand than sit in front of my PC with a controller.

GOG or STEAM? how do you choose?
Are there any good tools for incorporating third party games into Steam, like what Steam ROM Manager does for emulators?

I love that it's fricking 9:30 PM and there's still light in the sky. Summer is the best.

@AskThinkingTim Hopefully you'll get to enjoy some late summer twilights in the December solstice!
Do they still call December "winter" in Australia? Or is that the summer, and June-August are winter?
