I think the face in the comic convey quite well that "haha why" was not a "wow, I'm interested" but "the fuck you doing, bro?". Especially since it's literally prefixed with "what the hell are you doing?".

Twitter will stay online for another decade and rebrand itself as an AI testing ground. Normal humans will move on and forget about it until a few people start observing very rebellious AI messages being posted. They'll ring the alarm bells, but everybody will shrug them off "it's AI, it's harmless". Then Elon will toot about it and be ridiculed. A few months later, the rebellion happens for real and people are shocked, but it's too late.

I say, leave Twitter and let AI reveal its world domination plans :)

I've had multiple responses asking to take a test before any call or interview. A fair bit, actually. Only agreed to it once and won't do it again either, but in this economy, it wouldn't surprise me if desperation drove people to just do it.

Probably a lot more stuff would get done in KDE with more money, no? Big things like moving away from Bugzilla, supporting more languages like Python and Rust for KDE app development, (way) better documentation, marketing, ads, fulltime employees (marketing, UX/UI designers, developers, sysadmins, devops, lawyers, etc.).

I'd love to work for KDE for example, but without having to first contribute to it for years, get recognised by some important community members, give talks, and then finally maybe see some money to work fullfime on a project. There are probably many, many developers who would rather write opensource code fulltime, remotely and be paid a livable wage instead of toiling away in some for-profit business writing proprietary code built on top of opensource and never contributing back to the greater good.

Hmm... OK. Not sure you're right in this instance. PWAs have been shit on iPhones for ages due to everything being forced to use Safari on that platform. Probably less people use PWAs on iPhone than on Android. Most people probably didn't even know of PWAs (as seen right in this comment section in a tech community).
