Ukraine has developed very impressive drone technology in a very short time. It is expected that multiple nations will actually try to make deals to acquire Ukrainian drones at the current NATO summit because they are so good now. So Ukraine is no longer dependent on others to sell them drones. They‘re selling them now.

For example, these drones can use terrain as guidance, so GPS isn’t required for navigation. This also allows them to fly at a very low altitude, avoiding Russian air defense. They’re also very resistant to jamming and have advanced autonomous capabilities, so they can “finish the job” on their own if the link to their operator is severed. Also, they’re very cheap, so it’s possible to overwhelm Russian defenses by swarming them.

In summary, they‘ve developed incredible killing machines that are able to act autonomously, which is very good for them right now but probably not very good for humanity in the long run.

Hab ich was verpasst oder ist der Vergleich von Volt mit der FDP etwas polemisch? Klar, beide würden sich wohl als liberal bezeichnen, aber die FDP hat sich ja inzwischen komplett auf Wirtschaftsliberalität und Lobby-Politik reduziert, während bei Volt die persönlichen Freiheitsrechte im Vordergrund stehen. Als die FDP vor langer, langer Zeit auch noch einen zumindest teilweise ähnlichen Fokus hatte, ging aus ihr mit Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger eine der meiner Meinung nach besten Justizminister*innen des Landes hervor, die Bürgerrechte vehement verteidigt hat.

Ich glaube viele Ziele von Volt, wie beispielsweise konsequenter Klimaschutz, Tempolimits auf Autobahnen, Grundeinkommen, Besteuerung von Reichtum oder die Abschaffung der Zwei-Klassen-Medizin gehen wirklich in eine ganz andere Richtung als die der heutigen FDP.

Volt ist ganz sicher nicht perfekt, wenn heute Bundestagswahl wäre, würde ich sie vermutlich auch nicht wählen, aber sie mit der FDP gleichzusetzen erscheint mir schon sehr weit hergeholt.

Ich finde es leider immer wieder ärgerlich, dass die journalistische Qualität der taz bei einzelnen Beiträgen mit der der Bild-Zeitung konkurriert.

Ein reiner Ragebait-Artikel, bei dem einem Schwimmbadbetreiber direkt Rassismus vorgeworfen wird, weil er es nicht verantworten möchte, Menschen in seiner Anlage baden zu lassen, denen sein Team die Regeln und Gefahren aufgrund von Sprachbarrieren nicht vermitteln kann.

Ich kann natürlich nicht ausschließen, dass Rassismus auch eine Rolle spielen könnte, aber es klingt für mich erstmal sehr nachvollziehbar, dass man Menschen nicht in Gefahr bringen möchte. Erst recht nicht, wenn man am Ende die Verantwortung trägt.

Insbesondere weil es ja offenbar schon mindestens einen Vorfall gab, bei dem ein Kleinkind aus viel zu tiefem Wasser gerettet werden musste, sehe ich den Rassismusvorwurf hier vollkommen fehl am Platz.

Fair use in Germany (and the EU) isn‘t really a thing. There are a few special exceptions (mostly for satire and such), but generally these rules apply:

1. If you cover a song (lyrics and melody stay the same), you have to get a license and share the money you make from it with the original author. You cannot be denied this license, but you have to get it before making money off of your cover version.
2. If you rework a song (change lyrics or melody), you have to get explicit permission from the rights holder. In this case, they are allowed to deny you this license. There‘s a pretty famous legal battle running since 1999 (!) between musician Moses Pelham and the band Kraftwerk, because the former used a two-second sample from one of Kraftwerk‘s songs in his work. While a final decision in this matter is still pending, it shows how even very small snippets of music made by other artists might be subject to licensing fees and the need for explicit permissions in the EU.

As far as I can tell, there is no legal way for Suno to just use songs for their product without having a licensing agreement with the respective rights holders.

There are unfortunately still very few specialists who are able to diagnose ASD in adults, so 2-3 years is unfortunately a realistic estimate.

If you have the money to spend, you can reduce this wait time to around 2-6 months by looking for a practice offering privately paid ASD diagnostics (Selbstzahler). It can cost anywhere between 450-900€. It‘s pretty ridiculous that you can only get a somewhat timely diagnosis by paying for it yourself, but it‘s really a supply/demand issue.

Importantly, if you decide to go that route, make absolutely sure that you‘re actually talking to a qualified professional (someone who has an Approbation). There are quite a lot of shady life coaches and counselors trying to make money with ASD „diagnoses“ which have no medical or legal significance.
