Asexuality Is Finally Breaking Free from Medical Stigma

Thanks, that was actually really interesting and I learnt stuff I didn't know beforehand. The thing is your comment seemed to trigger quite a few people (me included) because it seemed insensitive. Thankfully you later commented that "For some people (like all the ones in the article) they want it fixed. Others are perfectly happy the way they are, and both are fine and none of anyone else’s business" so you obviously get it. It's funny how easy it is for people to misunderstand each other in forums like this. This has been a learning experience for me.

Now that some time has passed, what do you like and dislike about kbin?

I'm a reddit refugee and as a non technical person I actually prefer kbin to reddit. It's nice and simple and I get all the content I need easily. The only thing I wish was 1 click less is viewing images/videos. At the moment I seem to have to click on a post to go to that posts page and then click on the image/video in that post to see it full size. I wish I could just go through my feed expanding and dismissing images and videos with 1 click without having to load a separate page. Kbin is awesome though and definitely my home for the foreseeable :)

What’s one thing that you wish you had known when jumping over from Reddit?

I wish I'd known how nice a place this is ages ago! After 10 years I was so institutionalised to the way reddit was, it was really hard to imagine using anything else and having anything like as nice a user experience. So many times over the last few days I've suddenly realised that for hours I've been browsing Kbin and not reddit. It's a nice feeling. Also, now I've replaced all my reddit bookmarks with Kbin ones which makes it feel a lot more permanent.

Can I hazard a guess that you're an ex redditor? People try to be nicer to each other here. I'm a reddit refugee myself and it's sometimes hard to change habits but this place is nice and it's worth it. To me this whole migration kerfuffle seems like a rare opportunity to be more thoughful in my interactions with people online. So far it's making for a much nicer experience.
