New York state senator proposes bill for conversion therapy lawsuits
Democratic State Senator James Skoufis introduced legislation on April 6 that would let New Yorkers sue mental health professionals who perform conversion therapy. After a U.S. Supreme Court decision altered the legal landscape around “sexual orientation change efforts,” S9817 would let survivors seek financial damages in civil court.
Here's hoping that it passes.
Gamer' Outreach event this weekend.
This weekend, the Hermits will be doing a stream weekend benefiting charity (Gamers Outreach). This charity helps children in hospitals by making gaming carts that the children can use in their hospital rooms.
If you don't know what HermitCraft is, they are a group of YouTubers that play MineCraft on the same server. I know what you may be thinking - "This is for iPad kids when their parents are busy" - I assure you that while every hermit may be family friendly, they each are entertaining for adults in their own way.
Anyway, please consider watching and donating to charity this weekend.

I need to add to this that blocking is not the answer. Actively down vote if your instance allows. The practices discussed here passively harm artists.

Yeah, I know that it is about to get even worse, but fml at 45 things are getting crazy. My hormones are so out of whack that I'll cry at a video of a puppy being cute.
I'm even getting emotional about writing this post. I guess I just need some kind of comfort and release because Things are crazy.
"Woke" has been a phrase for over 100 years.
"Everybody down there, stay woke. Keep their eyes open." - Leadbelly
This needs to be persevered, I think. "Woke" is neither new or modern, and every asshat around that tries to reframe this phrase as either liberal or "extreme leftist" needs to be put in check about the history of the phrasing.
