New Delhi - during lockdown vs now

Reply in thread

Mood AF. I hate feeling this way, but I almost feel things need to get worse before they get better.

I won't actively work towards that, and I'll work to make my community and city a better place in the midst of that. But I think humanity will only change when things are really drastic.

Trump World ‘panicking’ as Project 2025 gets on the radar of voters

Please, weaponize this! I know the last place you want to go is a Fox News comment section or FB posts but these people need to see how they will be personally affected too.

Weaponize the cuts to social security and medicare as much as you can. Yes, lots of conservatives are a lot cause. But I'm not asking you to reach them on the moral issues, I'm asking to get them rightfully scared of losing social security and medicare/medicaid. Make it personal.

When they don't also deepthroat Netflix after they banned password sharing. All the optimistic people, me included, said "oh this will make a huge dent in Netflix what a stupid move." But they read the room like a hawk.

People swallowed the hook and signed up in huge numbers. https://www.businessinsider.com/netflix-password-sharing-crackdown-worked-how-to-increase-subscription-streaming-2024-1

The West has created the perfect neutered, obedient consumers who will drink whatever coolade they are given. Until we have enough people who are willing to challenge convenience and stop bowing at the altar of comfort, we will have no meaningful change.

House votes to revive Obamacare funds as senators plot a scaled-back bill

This is how it always goes. Governments, companies, organizations take something and then when complains ring out, they bring back a gutted, hollow version of whatever was before. It's all the more ironic when the previous thing was already soulless and hollow (Obamacare vs universal healthcare) but apparently even that previous condition was too good for the poors to have.

The worst part is people are so conditioned to it. They will gladly accept the new, "improved" version just because it's better than nothing. And once more, the rich fuck us over and laugh while doing it; while the working class just sits there unable to imagine a better world or better situation.

AOC leads JD Vance for first time in 2028 election matchup: poll

Ahh yes... The very free and fair 2028 elections we'll being having. The Republicans definitely won't try every trick in the book to manipulate them or stop them outright. Nevermind establishment Dems fucking over primaries to shoehorn in their milquetoast candidates, while fucking over actual progressives!

I am so looking forward to voting our way out of fascism/ a dictatorship, as has absolutely been exhibited to work multiple times through history.

Blaming Millennial and Gen Z conservatives on Gen X alone is wild. How about we focus on the billionaire propaganda machines of social media and mainstream news. Zuckerberg is a millennial and his platforms have done more damage to teenage brains than we realize yet.

Absolutely critique people and people groups when they deserve it, but this whole generational obsession is exactly what those fucking us over want. Any place to blame but on them is good for them.

Democrat flips Republican-held Florida state House district that includes Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

Let's see: There's them saying ICE will be at polling stations, there's the SAVE act, there's the war in Iran which Trump believes can stop elections, there's always the classic Insurrection Act and Martial Law, there's them claiming 2020 was stolen and therefore federalizing the election process. And then the redistricting, ending Mail In Voting, gerrymandering, threats, Dominion voting machines now being owned by a MAGA former election official.

All of that and people still think we're having free elections?
