Wait, this happened like 4-6 months ago. Zlib is still alive and well, they just send out individualized links per user id when you search something.

You and an old friend catch up at a restaurant. When the bill comes, how do you make sure the poor waiter takes your card?
Go to the bathroom, on the way somehow get the waiters attention, give them your card and tell them to be sure to charge it to yours.

Meta Threads is going to be Fediverse compatible. Meta taking a shot at Reddit?
I lurked real quick. I don't get it though. There's no communities that I see on there just peeps to follow. It's like mastodon without hashtags, trending, news, etc.

The article lost me at fees. I saw a friend from Ireland last summer. They looked at us apps like cash app & zelle like that's cool - but the app we use doesn't charge instant fees and is not traceable.
On the other hand, this could be the death of physical currency in the us?

What happened to Bryce Laspisa?
Sounds like Bryce was suffering from some severe depression, tried driving off the cliff to drown in the lake, didn't realize the gap & road beneath, landed on the road, busted out the back window to escape, and drowned himself in the lake or offed himself in a nearby remote area. Given the proximity of the truck stop he could have hitched a ride and took his life elsewhere.

That's what everybody said, but they were saying the CIA is taking similar routes to get whatever they want.

Titanic tourist submersible goes missing with search under way
From what I understand, there are only 3 vessels in the world that can go that deep (~2.5 miles). 1 sank leaving 2. As of this morning there is 48 hours of air supply left. The search area is the size of Connecticut. For these reasons I think their survival chances are nonexistent.

Brandon Swanson drove into a ditch while on his way home, when he called his parents for help they couldn’t locate him. 47 minutes later, the phone went dead and he was never seen again.
If you look at a topography map of Lincoln county MN you can see about a 1000ft variation in that general area. Maybe he fell into a ravine, hence the "oh shit"?

I've used both syncthing and recently resilio. My Syno NAS has their own app Synology drive. All three have worked great for me.

Fixable or new water heater needed?
Replace. A 50 gallon gas WH will set you back $500. My guy installs them for $300, I think you can find a similar price in your area if you look for someone in your neighborhood.
