Illusion of choice
What exactly is gooning in this context?
I thought it was edging without climaxing all day. But then how would you do that multiple times in a day?
Can someone more well versed in modern youth's lingo please clarify?

Now I'm actually curious about how things would work in your perfect world.
The current gaming industry in the late stages, so it might be more productive to discuss the mid 2000s.
The vast majority of platform exclusives were made by studios/publishers owned by the platform. Exclusives were in turn a very big part of the value proposition of consoles, causing people to buy them in the first place.
If that had been outlawed by then, who would have produced the iconic games of each platform?

Classic dubs seemed so much better. Now most dubs seem unwatchable
To be fair, dubs used to be really, really bad back when us old weebs were growing up.
Nowadays, studios think about localization from the start when creating the original dialogue, leading to much better quality dubs. Thus, the newer weebs never developed the cringe reflex we have.

This is why people keep getting hacked
As a person who very slowly moved my family and friends to matrix by bringing up the conversation one at a time and helping them get started, that guy sounds like a next level asshole.

I wanted Claude Code-style workflows without sending code to the cloud, so I built Coyote
I'm a little confused about this thing's use case.
What does it do differently/better than OpenCode ?

See? I TOLD you all to leave GitHub! "Cordyceps CI/CD Flaws Expose 300+ GitHub Repositories to Supply-Chain Attacks"
The core of the problem trickles down to weak CI/CD configurations that grant pull requests (PRs) more permissions than they should have.
How exactly do their competitors like codeberg do better in preventing that?

Claude Code refuses requests or charges extra if your commits mention "OpenClaw"
Damn, people in the hacker news comments are staying projects that don't want AI generated PRs can just put that in their commit history.
Nobody's going to be able to make vibe coded PRs if just cloning your repo costs them 100% of their usage quota.

Microsoft Needs Windows Lite, No telemetry, no spying, no ads, no AI, no .NET, to retain gamers and developers
Hah! They don't care about "builders" or users. They care about business. Specifically large enterprises the have too many people to care about a single employee's individual productivity.
Microsoft caters mostly to them and is quite good at that.
But if you're an end user, gamer, or individual consumer, just move to Linux already. They don't care about you.

I hate to break it to you, but we're never getting rid of AI.
Like how we will forever have trace amounts of cesium and PFAS/microplastics in our blood, AI generated content is going to be around in most things.
The question is will you also use it for good, or just leave it for the bad actors only?

My brother in Christ, YOU did the oppression
Explanation please. My UK history is kind of spotty, but I assumed England oppressed everyone, including Wales and Scotland/Ireland.
