Can people please put the country in the title. I have read multiple headlines thatjust say "court decides" with no explanation of what court or jurisdiction. Australia is not the only country where the employment status of Uber drivers is under question

A lot of these comments are American so I thought I would provide a different point of view. In the UK it is a legal requirement for some broadcasters to have a certain percentage of signed programmes.

This reminds me of how Eeyore is treated in Winnie the Pooh

Elan.school is a webcomic of the author's experience at Elan. Well worth a read and the author is currently in the process of making it into a physical comic

Even better. The countdown resets if you look away

This case is being heard in Sydney, Australia not the US so a case from the US is not relevant in determining the outcome

That would make it the only 2 letter non country code top level domain. And could also cause issues if another country is later assigned io as it's 2 letter country code by ISO

Close the sky is an amazing phrase to be able to use

It's specifically for gender identity clinics so only applies to trans kids

Not in Scotland. Parking fees were scrapped at hospitals starting in 2008

This is a crazy amount of money to me as someone from the UK. A party running a candidate in every seat in a UK general election could not spend this much money campaigning

Buffy

As someone who works in Morrisons this wouldn't actually be the case. They pay everyone the highest level of minimum wage already so this wouldn't be a change. I know they aren't the only company that pays everyone the 21+ minimum wage

Literally Robert Evans

Coffee. There are a couple of Lemmy communities but none of them are that active. Reddit had r/coffee and r/espresso that were both fairly active
