What helps you sleep better?

Reply in thread

I use a site called MyNoise which has a ton of white noise soundtracks. My favourite soundtrack for sleeping is called "rice fields" and consists of frogs, cicadas and water sounds. If I'm struggling to sleep I go "ok, froggy time" and put this on. Works 99% of the time.

How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027)

Expect specialist "open" hardware capable of installing any software/OS to become increasingly expensive, while increasingly locked-down, mass-produced consumer hardware remains at current price. You only need to look at TVs for an example of this - try finding a recent non-smart TV at a reasonable price as the cheap models are all subsidised by the revenue from pushing ads into your face.

What Netflix has learned from its push into video games

One of the games you can download on Android with a Netflix subscription is Into the Breach. I played that game so much while I had a subscription. It plays so well on mobile and I wish I could just pay the devs to own a copy but sadly Netflix is the only way to play it on that platform. I doesn't quite seem worth resubbing to Netflix for one game.
