I think she knows how to fly this thing - aZovyaPhotoreal_v2

I am really enjoying the model aZovyaPhotoreal_v2 for creating sci-fi space like images.

Exo-biology to fill the old bank account. Lets see how many credits we can earn in a week.

So I logged in last night after getting my new operating system to work with ED (ubuntu) and noticed that the useless crew of my fleet carrier once again managed to spend almost their entire annual budget on Indi Bourbon and Kamitra Cigars.

So with the tank empty, I have to set out and earn some credits, or ship the entire lot to the centre of Betelgeuse, to rot there until the supernova engulfs the system.

This exo-biology scam looks like a good option. Some research on the galactic nets later I found this handy guide. Down to Earth Astronomy is responsible for creating the commanders toolbox site. So I have a modicum of faith in the information being accurate.

I will be leaving on a two week expedition to scan as many of the stinking plants as possible. I will report back here as to the credits earned as soon as I get ASP washed and the Atermis suite cleaned up. Hopefully keeping my freeloading crew in Latvian brandy for another few months.

Help·For all your questions about Kbin!bymack123

How does favourites work?

It is something I have not been able to figure out from U/I.

What I am looking for is a way to have two subscribed list. One containing high traffic magazines, like pics and meme related stuff and another to maintain a list of niche interests where traffic is low, but my interest is high.

The favourites function looked like may do that if I can figure out how to curate it.

Stable Diffusion on AMD 6800XT - Ubuntu 22.04 - Experience so far and just how much faster it is than machineML on Windows

I thought I would share my experience this evening with the group here seeing that I still excited as hell for getting this hodgepodge to work at all.

I have been playing with the machineMl version of stable diffusion on Windows for a while now (we won't go into the reasons why, but I have the 6800XT, which is not well suited to this use case)

Automatic11111 on MachineML is dog slow, but I got some interesting results. So today I cleared out an old SSD, wired it up and installed a clean ubuntu. Following this guide I managed to get rocM running and the difference is like chalk and cheese. Or rather Impulse and Warp drive. Totally crazy!

So for you AMD Radeon users out there. There is hope. It is in Linux, but it is there.

EDIT - Resolved Help Needed around understanding the Subscribed view: kbin.social/sub

Please help me understand how this view is intended to work. I have been seeing a lot of content on that view that I am not subscribed to. Today I deleted all of my subscriptions to try and see if the view will change and it does not. Am I missing something in how this is supposed to work, or is there a bug there at the moment?

In case it is missed in my comment below: Here is the solution:

Polymono, helped me find the issue on Codeberg where I logged it as a bug.

It seems that I inadvertently subscribed to https://kbin.social/d/kbin.social which is a meta group of the entire server. The problem is that you can only see that you are subscribed if you go there directly. It does not show in your subscription list.

Unsubscribing from there resolved my problem.

Thanks to Polymono for the help.

Trimming Worlds for the 1.20 Migration - Shout-out to MCA Selector

I am in the process of preparing our server world for migration to 1.20 and thought I would share my experience with MCA Selector so far. A youtube video from Pixelriffs a few years ago pointed me in this direction.

Some things to note about MCA Selector U/I which confused me a bit when I first used the app.

  • Left Mouse button selects chunks
  • Middle button is used to grip and move the map
  • Right button deselects the chunk

I used a 1 minute rule to select chunks for deletion. This should avoid removing anything of importance to my players. Some smoothing must done manually with such a tight time rule.

Finally, Backup, Backup and Backup again. Just in case.
