I've now switched to having a shitty chromebook hooked up to my TV with an hdmi cable so I can pirate anything I want when I want. I definitely recommend it, no need to deal with ads either on YouTube when not using their shitty TV app!

I agree and also thought they did a pretty good job. Not perfect, but perfection is never attainable and for having to squeeze everything into 8 episodes, they did well!

So true, I just finished a rewatch and it took me like 10 minutes to adjust my monitors brightness to be higher than the default just so I could see a little bit clearer. Episode 7 I think is the most egregious in making it too dark to see anything.

I feel so lucky I haven't had a cat or dog have issues with free feeding! If I ever had a pet that was a glutton, I'd need one of those timed feeder bowls or I'd constantly forget to do it. Though, I'm sure they would make sure to remind me anyway!

I'm a paralegal, and Wisconsin is the same. We had a headache in one case a couple years ago where nobody knew the other party was pregnant, not even her attorney, until the final hearing and she was asked the generic question about pregnancy before finalizing. We then had to do a partial final judgment and schedule another final hearing a couple of months after her expected due date to fully finalize it.

I relate to you. I only have about 2ish hours of actual work a day on average, and I have to drag it out all day just to look busy. I never expected that it would feel soul sucking to have so little work but still be chained to your desk. I thought I was lucky! (And I certainly am in someways)

The irony is that when I first started, I was efficient and would read when I didn't have anything to work on. But my boss didn't like to see me reading, so he would give me more work. The issue is that there is only so much he can do at a time, so it resulted in me finishing assignments, and him being so overloaded he wouldn't get to them until weeks or months later. Now I just pretend to be busy, so he doesn't feel like he needs to give me more, and I'm not having to remind him of documents in review that are weeks old.

Sorry for the rant, I am currently sitting here pretending to be busy while slowly dying inside.

Because life couldn't exist as we know it if there wasn't an inherent desire to live. If living organisms didn't have that inate drive to continue living, all species would become extinct before ever evolving.

Lol I do the first layer of the lines and then cure it, add another layer, and repeat until it's built up enough to have definition. Then I lightly file it to make the height even before adding a thin layer of hard gel and finally a thin layer of matte top coat to finish!

This sets a bit complicated since my last set was black, so when I filed it down, I still had a few shadows from the last polish. Because of that, I used a solid opaque nude as a base on all of my fingers before using the actual colored polishes I wanted.

The pinks are jelly GAOY nudes

The glitter nails are actually a mix of metallic powder with rose gold glitter

The thumb is Veronni pink metallic, though that one separates and gets streaky if I don't mix it well before use!

I use Beatles for the base and top coats along with a hard gel overlay for extra strength 😊

I ended up having the opposite experience as your friend. I never read the book and went in blind thinking it would be akin to Interstellar. I was hugely disappointed. I wanted more science and drama, but instead it felt more like a modern marvel movie with never ending montages.

I think you've done a good job here! The application looks pretty clean with little polish seeming to be on the skin, and the nail beds don't look like they were flooded either.

I like the style/colors and the nail art is pretty good too. A little more practice will help you get smoother and thinner lines, but using the right brushes for line work can dramatically help if you aren't already using those.

Last thing, I find if I use a coat of hard gel or an additional base coat before putting the final top coat on, then it will encase the art better and make it look more professional and shiny/smooth. You can check out my recent post with the zebra print to see what I mean since I may not be doing a good job explaining it here.

If you aren't even using gel polish and this was all done with regular polish, then hats off to you since regular polish is so much harder to work with in my experience!! I picked up nails as a hobby 3 years ago, so I am no professional and these are just some tips I picked up along the way ☺️

I visualized a blue ball the size of a tennis ball being pushed forward on a flat white surface by a shadowy figure with only the hand being visually clear. Upon the follow-up question, I believe that it solidified the gender in my mind to be male and also prompted me to think about the surface of the table edges in relation to where the figure stood. However, my main focus was on the blue ball and the hand pushing it forward over a white surface.
