Constitutional right to a wild garden with weeds and bees to be tested in Ontario court
Damn I hope they win against the city. The typical law has to die, it's ridiculously useless and detrimental to biodiversity.
Why should we have to maintain one type of plant which has problems surviving without lots of upkeep?

Justices side with Texas death row inmate seeking DNA testing to show he shouldn’t be executed
A normal person would think the DNA was already checked before deciding for a death sentence.

Dev Behind Highly Regarded PC Game Explains Why He Raised The Price: "Go Pirate It, I Don't Care"
I rather like what he said. It is completely reasonable in my opinion.
Here is his full response:
"Yes, no f**king shit, I make games for a living," he said. "If I didn't want to earn money from them I wouldn't charge money for them. I like the business model of 'I want money so I make something that I think is worth money, and you pay me that money and you get the thing, and we're all happy' That's it. There's nothing complicated or hidden here."
"If you don't think the things I make are worth the money I charge, that's completely ok," he added. "Don't buy them, or wait for a deep sale, or go the sneaky route and get them for free or whatever, and please tell me that so I can adjust the prices for whatever I release next."

I wonder how much they really will get. As per Steam's policy, they won't receive the payments until January 30th. By then, tons of people have time to request for a refund. They are also apparently more generous on the refund window. (more than 2 hours)

Developer posts secret key on GitHub, loses $40K in 2 minutes
I'm sad I didn't see any comments saying he shouldn't be using a $40k wallet key to test his software in the first place. Anything could happen with simple code mistakes...just get an empty wallet or one with a few bucks in it.

Kevin Barry, the founder and original developer of Nova Launcher has stopped working on Nova Launcher and the open sourcing efforts.
For people like me who are worried about the data collection of Nova, we can try asking to remove it.
I had no idea it was sold to an analytics company. That's real sad.
Edit: direct link to request removal of novalauncher personal data

... Who is benefiting from this?
Probably the MBA executives. They have bonuses if it works and they have bonuses if it doesn't work and they leave their contract early. MBAs don't understand the product-customer relationship it seems.

I was thinking the same at first but it might be best to make them give us more money so we can pay for what they are causing.

Despite intel warnings about a Hamas attack, the army didn’t evacuate the Nova festival
I think it's something we all already think. They were informed of this attack either by their own intel or from US intel but didn't do shit cause it was their ticket to full on fury.

RIP Microsoft WordPad. You Will Be Missed
I couldn't care less. I never used it. Was either notepad++ or office. I'm pretty sure with all the telemetry they have, they knew no one really use it anymore and it's not worth it.
