Threats and promises are your guiding principles?

People are getting downvoted for pointing out the obvious logical fallacy in the op too, so yeah.

A Microsoft researcher built a goat-powered LLM in Age of Empires II to prove it's not sentient
Am I missing something, or is the point simply “I can build a computer program in a game that you may be surprised to learn is Turing complete, therefore ai is not sentient?”
I’m not here to argue that AI is sentient, but this is a really lousy argument.

It would also be hilarious.
Oh 100%.
Nobody is arguing it’s not hilarious

Right?
I get that the tweeter wanted to just blast on religious folks, but it makes them look like they don’t have an answer.
How one determines right from wrong is a pretty interesting question with a whole lot of guess work and gut feelings for most folks, regardless of faith.
A lot of philosophers, religious or otherwise, have spilled a lot of ink on the topic.
“Threat of eternal punishment “ doesn’t help you figure out right from wrong, just the consequences of choosing “wrong.”

Moreover, Democrats seem to have done little self-reflection over whether their aggressive push to implement their progressive values alienated more conservative Americans and contributed to their own defeat in 2024.

Even the Tesla Cybertruck's Brake Lights Don't Make Sense
Reply in thread
From the article
The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards regulate taillight design, mandating minimum area, placement, quantity, and visibility according to vehicle category, dimensions, and weight. However, the FMVSS does not appear to prohibit deactivating taillights during braking, so the Cybertruck's taillights as seen here seem to be legal—even if they are perplexing, and potentially dangerous.
I still can barely believe this thing is real, and not something out of a bad 90s movie where video game characters come into the real world.

Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Suggests Religion Is Used To Manipulate People
Reply in thread
Lmao… right???
Rodgers is known for his belief in alien life and in the supernatural. During his interview with Carlson, he suggested that the government knows of the existence of these beings, but keeps them from public knowledge and could be using religion to manipulate people’s thinking

Trump Says He's 'Entitled' to Illegal Third Term as Allies Draft Voter Suppression Decree

It’s the 22nd Amendment
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once
Pretty unambiguous.
Extending his rein would mean he either Stops Elections, gets the constitution amended, or most insidious.. just refuses to transfer power, and seeing if our military is actually complicit with the pedophile class against its own citizenry.
Jan 6 is going to completely embolden them to try again. Is there enough MAGA to make it happen again despite it all?
