YouTube tests server-side ads to make your coveted blocker obsolete
No, I would rather quit watching youtube rather than to watch Japanese style animation porn ads.
Things look much better if I'm on a US VPN. But I don't want to get bothered by those porn ads if it suddenly stops (yeah, it sometimes crashes for some reason) or I forget to turn it on. And yeah, I still don't like Grammarly ads although it's much better than porns.

Biocubes: an interesting and interactive look at an inventory of biomass and technomass
I find it so surprising that around 70 percent of all human made resources such as concrete are made AFTER 1990. I mean 1990 is fairly a recent time and I don't think we have experienced much of environmental changes. Where are all they? Do they mostly come from developing countries?

Google Chrome warns uBlock Origin may soon be disabled
Their new UI made the browser unusable anyway. Looks like a child toy to me.
I don't really love Firefox's default UI but I can customize it with about:config and userChrome.css to fit my taste.

He did not. Read the article.
Police said that the victim, a 50-year-old man who uses a wheelchair, was attempting to kill a cockroach with his shoe.
He took off his shoe and threw it at the bug to kill it, but a revolver he had hidden in the shoe fell to the ground. Upon making contact with the floor, the gun discharged and the bullet hit the victim in the foot.
