Sorry, grandma

Huh, it's the first time I see the cube. Okay, thanks.

I've been putting off watching it because just through osmosis from the memes and reference it looks bleak AF.

Is the mecha fight fun at least? I've watched Iron-Blooded Orphan and like it, it's giving me the same vibes narrative wise.

They're Never Happy

Oof, that must be a weird conversation. Am Indonesian.

Any conversation touching Islam adjacent lost any nuance with the general population more often than not . Not saying your wife is one, but let's be honest the education quality here is abysmal and at the same time we're number 1 muslim by population. Also our "Netizen" is notorious for wrongly attacking any issue they misunderstood.

One of our top singer got berated nationwide because she wore a skirt with a random arabic text in it, people thought it was a Holy script and she's Christian.

I kid you not one election season I saw an angry mob with a banner that said USA = COMMUNIST !!

Most have hard enough time just to get by day to day so I get it, they take anything to blame. With corruption top to bottom it's a sad state all around. I'm grateful it's still a relatively peaceful affair though, at least here in Java.

Ethical non-mahogany

Guitar player attachment to (electric guitar) tonewood is my pet-peeve.

Granted maybe my ear is just garbage, but even if there's any discernible variance why don't just change other virtually infinite things you could do in the chain. Just EQ alone will get you there most of the time, it's easier.

Alas we do tend to hear with our eyes, damn you marketing !

What's something you did once but won't do again?

I'm just a dude, one afternoon when I was 12 me and the boys were doing bbq because it was a major religious holiday here.

I found a neat stick and I decided it would be fun to do a fire breathing trick with the kerosene. I hadn't done it before but it worked and we had a blast.

I'm intact and in my 30s but I still cringe at the possibility of me getting a burned face that day.

What's your religion?

Yeah, I personally think "Atheist" and "Agnostic" to be a loaded term with the general public, more so in mine where the majority is religious.

Many of my friends think I abandoned all my moral code the moment they found out, like "No, I'm still the same person just not doing the ritual like I used to" and they won't even notice if I didn't tell.

Many did not believe me when I said I never drink even once (alcohol is forbidden in Islam). It's so hard to explain that the general messages to aspire to be a decent human being are good guidelines I don't have any problem with that, it's the finer details that made me decide to leave.
