I am a bit split. I too find it a bit annoying to scroll past 80% of the posts. On the other hand, sometimes I see that there are new comments (which lemmy shows) under a post about an interesting topic.

I thought I was the only one thinking he is painting a clear image of the enemy. Together we will get through what they have done!

Maybe Lemmy won't be the right fit in the longer run, although development seems pretty good currently.

Whats more important to me is, how the adoption of ActivityPub evolves and the Fediverse developes in the long run.

Auch Aegis. Wie sprecht ihr den Namen eigentlich aus?

Are there really security measures to avoid downloading youtube videos?

Mich würde interessieren, wie viele Mods denn kein Interesse mehr an der Moderation auf Reddit haben, und würde gerne ihren Standpunkt (offensichtlich contra-Reddit) hören.

Generally, you do not need multiple accounts on different lemmy servers. You can "use" the other servers with one account. And, that you have multiple different servers, is by design.

Or are you referring to defederation, when you are writing about "seperation"?

I just want to say that you have invested the 2h not only for Lemmy. It took me minutes for this account because I was already familiar with the Fediverse. If you want to switch within the Fediverse in the future, I'm sure it will be easy for you•

I am a satisfied Android user, and can still recommend to fellows, giving wefwef a try

I use Infinity (for Reddit), and I don't see any sponsored posts

Freedom. I feel so restricted on iOS. I want to do this, and this, and that there too!

Maybe its a feature, not a flaw.

Maybe Facebook is not only for connecting with family and friends, but also for shopping (ads)

Ich nutze auch gern Startpage, vielleicht magst du das ja mal an Stelle von google ausprobieren

Is the vote count disabled for this AMA?

Fell up the stairs. Had to visit a hospital, got a splint.

Da kamst du mir wohl zuvor. Hast du dir die Reportage vorm posten angeschaut, du bist ja schnell?

Yes, your account would be gone.

I know that its pretty normal for Mastodon server operators to publicly commit themselves to anouncing that they are going to shut down, so users can take action accordingly (Was it 90 days, not sure?).

Additionally, Mastodon has a functionality that lets you transfer your account to a new server you choose, while keeping your followers and followings.

Lemmy doesn't have a similar functionality. I suppose this is something in the works. Ideally you would take your community subscribtions with you (instead of followers/-ings).

Warum nicht eine einfache "Anleitung" posten? Empfohlene Instanz x oder y wählen, Benutzername und Passowort vergeben, Fertig*.
