What would you do in this scenario?
Call the power company. It's before their demarcation point. They should take care of it. Yes, it's probably ok to go up and "gently remove" it, but what if it's not. Don't fuck with that.

GrapheneOS is very simple to install on any supported Pixel device. You definitely don't need a third party installing the operating system for you.
Super helpful community. Tons of info available.

How come Android doesn't have a built in PDF viewer?
You really should ask this in

https://lemmy.ml/c/grapheneos.
It's a very helpful community. Someone will either explain why or point you to a FAQ. I bet it has something to do with the built in reader being insecure.
Edited... I totally gave the wrong url. Sorry. Corrected.

Nova Launcher Search gets better with more app integrations
Reply in thread
I stopped using it because of that for a while. I have not found another launcher that has the swipe up and down on home screen icons to open other apps, put 9 icons in the dock and a few other things I can't remember right now...
I blocked all Internet access to nova to circumvent analytics. Not sure if it's working but until I find a different launcher...

Ceiling lights, LED bulbs or fixtures?
The next tenant after you might not be so handy. It would be easier for the average person just to change a bulb if they needed to. I'd go with the fixture that uses replaceable LED bulbs.

What band do you think doesn't deserve the hype or fandom?

I bought this album (Meatloaf, Bat out of Hell) back when you went to record stores and flipped through albums and bought something because the cover looked cool. I was already listening to Judas Priest, Iron Maiden.. I was like wtf is this. Never understood that genre. And yeah, kiss sucks too.

[QUESTION] Cutting Board Recommendations (Machine Washable, No Microplastics)
I used epicurian for about 5 years. Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe. Very abusive to my knives.
Now I have a maple board for produce only and I use plastic for meat. The plastic boards, I have 2, were $20 or so, and are expendable. As soon as they get beat up (a year), they get replaced. I'm not really chopping on the plastic, usually slicing, so I'm not too worried about micro plastic.
The maple board was a game changer. Knives stay sharp much longer, and it just feels better to cut and chop on. Hard to explain. Cleaning is easy. After use, I wipe with a clean, damp rag, then spray with a 50% vinegar/water solution, let sit a minute, then dry. Once a week (I use it often), I coat with a thin layer of mineral oil. Soaks right in.
I also think bamboo would be too hard on the knives.
I'm not a chef, not in the industry, just a home cook that likes to have the right tools.

I finished a tube of chapstick before losing it.
I have NEVER accomplished this. They're either lost or ran through the dryer to destroy a load of clothes.

How to get a list of launchable activities of all installed apps?
Activity Manager
I've used it to launch certain parts of apps. Doesn't always do what I want. And you have to sift through a lot of useless stuff. But it works.

On F-Droid also

Understand that RCS is very hit or miss right now. I believe all alternate OS's are having a problem figuring it out. Some people are using it with no problem and other people can't get it to work. There is a looong RCS thread in the GrapheneOS forum.
Community is great. There are many very knowledgeable people there.

What is the best degoogled tablet for an artist?
Anything more than general stylus use on a Pixel tablet with GrapheneOS has been very hit or miss with me... aggravating. I fall back to my 6 year old iPad even when I just need to annotate notes. l firmly believe it's the fault of the hardware.
