If google and apple remove the european banking apps from their stores, there is no official channel to get to wero anymore. The google play store and apple app store most likely has the ability to uninstall apps without user interaction too.

People who don't like this dependency in the first place will not be using wero anyway.

Signal does not care about anyone who does not use android or ios and offers no official way to create an account without them. I wouldn't call that accessible.

Because I can log into the sync feature without the browser logging me into every single google service automatically with the same account.

I'm not on Signal because Signal thinks you should only be able to create an account on an android or ios device so I respect their wishes and don't create one.

A mass-adopted Taler-based payment system would also require mobile support, which would be gatekept by Google/Apple.

I can use the Taler firefox addon literally today on my Shift 6mq with postmarketOS with no compatibility layers.

Yea the UI isn't great, but it already today is usable everywhere where firefox is usable, and unlike Wero, the client source code is available and the UX can be improved independently.

That's why Taler has native apps in the google play store, the apple app store, fdroid and a direct apk download. And still it does not prevent me from using it on other devices like Wero does.

It's so strange to me that so many people get forced to play the recorder for a while in school, yet basic education of the musical world is completely absent. Perhaps taking the kids to a few different kinds of concerts would do away with such weird takes like "but fans of the recorder say the instrument's reputation is undeserved". Music schools for example like to do outreach concerts for kids where they show off and explain instruments etc.

On the topic of recorder performances, people like to criticize the recorder player in the youtube comments, but I like how the group Red Priest interprets and performs music.

They also helpfully tell you that you can only verify a single account with your phone number, so if I wanted to verify this account for a gaming community, I would de-verify the account I use for work, so I'm not going to do that, lest it looks "suspicious" to discord and they delete my account - For example a while ago the person who created one of the discord community "servers" we use for work got their discord account deleted (discord wouldn't tell us a reason).

The point isn't to bash the discord company or service, I'm just stating things that happen if you choose discord.

As the copyright owner you can do whatever you want. You can make your code gpl and give (written) permission to only blizzard to use the code under a different license.

I live in germany. Every single time I take a longer trip, I look for overnight train options. I have never in my life used a sleeper train because they either don't exist on that route or are so much more expensive I'd rather do the less comfortable option. I would love to love sleeper trains.

I use kde wayland and I have cheap monitors with small vrr ranges. Games with fps drops and stuttering cause the monitor it's on to flicker. A lot. So I leave vrr disabled.
