In many places call recording (or indeed processing of personal information which is highly likely to be present in phone calls) requires consent to be legal. I highly doubt this kind of processing is legal in the EU without both parties consenting.

It's a shame what happened with Neato. They were (I think) the first to add LIDAR for great systematic cleaning. Had one of their early models (no cloud, just a screen) and it was great except for the NiMH battery.

Currently the vote has not reached the EU parliament. The discussion is ongoing between the countries permanent representations / governments rather than elected MEPs as far as I understand.
