I got approval from work to travel home during Christmas / NYs and work remotely so i'm going homeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to family. Best part is it's a surprise so i'll land home and surprise mfer my parents! So excited wooohoo!

Also hope that my organs are safe cuz im going via Scoot. An other airline was charging $1000 more so fk that 🤞

I just passed a certificate exam woohooooo I was so stressed about passing, not because of the cost of it, but because of the shame it would bring. I'd have had to tell my team, and other colleagues, and my family. But added benefit is that I will get the exam fees fully reimbursed!! WINNING already today!!!

My month long trip to the UK has ended. I have landed in Melbourne. I am sad, now that I'm back to work from tomorrow. Someone give me tips to beat jet lag? Also surprisingly super sunny and chilly. Loving the weather!

I haven't told anyone in my life (outside of work) that I have a small medical procedure today. I haven't told my parents because I don't want them to unnecessarily stress out and they're enjoying a holiday in Spain. It's an annoying cyst that needs draining. Hope it goes well.

I now need to fast until surgery 😩 ate 2 ✨kwossants ✨ and a protein shake. Might get some orange juice later as I can have clear liquids until 2 hours before.

I hate public speaking. Am terrible. Colleagues think otherwise.

Tomorrow I have to present something about my team to another team at their team meeting.

Next week I have to record a video about something that needs to be sent to clients (this was originally supposed to be live but was changed to a recording last week)

The week after I have to present at the weekly company wide meeting (80+ ppl) on another topic.

Sigh. I mean, great learning opportunities but still, sigh.

It's not hot take Tuesday but here's my hot take anyway: eggplant is terrible. How do people like it?!? It's so soggy and bland no matter how you cook it 🤢

Sunscreen leaked in my bag and went inside my work laptop earlier today. Panik. Charger port, USB-C, HDMI port etc.

Came home, unscrewed the whole back. Got cotton, started taking off as much as I could. Unscrewed some more off the mobo, but wasn't able to get into the ports to clear the lotion.

Idea! Got some floss, and the wire thingy you tie cables with. Needed something small but just strong enough to scoop out the lotion from the ports. First go with the wire, scoop out lotion, run into cotton, then followed by the floss to get into the corners. Repeat x937374 times to get as much out as possible. Great success. Calm.

I am so proud of myself 😎😎😎

Also bonus points because my laptop wasn't charging earlier today (before the spill) and while cleaning this off, got the charger to work as well.

Honorary shoutout to a new toothbrush that I sacrificed trying to remove the lotion. You were a champ!
