For some reason this reminds me of the sex scene in Being There where Chauncey Gardener watches the TV and mimicks the people kissing, enticing his lover while having no clue what is actually going on. But the TV didn't show anything beyond kissing, and there is this sudden, awkward break in the chemistry as he coldly stops being physical when the TV show stop showing the physical interaction.

true.dat! so i guess it has 3 too many dials.

That lock is missing 112 more dials, all set to zero.

Does this mean it's effectively $0.0167 per search, and you have to buy batches of 300 searches, but they have an expiration date?

Fucking disgusting, disgraceful, abhorrent... sigh For fucking diapers!

Damn! I was hoping this was in Menlo Park.

don't forget the leading 115 zeroes.

I love that they called it the surveillance layer, allowing it to be used for any other surveillance data that is mappable, not just Flock.

I love this. Thank you.

Exactly. We cannot count on conservatives. Just look at what they've voted for in the past decade.

I thought this, but then after flashing a few of them I realized those are actually their low beams, and they're just stupidly bright LEDs.

I guess to each their own. I am so used to getting bash (emacs) keybindings in macos that it drives me crazy that they don't work in KDE and Xwayland apps.

Who cares. Reddit is dead to me, and spez murdered it.

Reddit was amazing. I will always enjoy and fondly remember what it was like before Spez fucked up one of the most reputable cultures and brands in internet history. Fuck that guy... just... what a fucking shithead to destroy something so wonderful.

I'd just like to reassure everybody that you can quit using Google Chrome. I switched to Firefox a year ago. You can switch to something else too. Give it a try.

Wait, I don't need to nudge anybody. After all the ads start invading their browsing experience I doubt anybody will need much prodding.

But these sheep can't wear masks? Give me a fucking break.

I love that this article expands DEI into diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's important to remember that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not primarily political devices, but a set of moral ideas meant to improve human wellbeing and harmony. DEI is used as a political device by people who are not driven by a desire for human wellbeing.

"I never thought the leopards would eat my face!"

People are terrified to admit they support Trump.

This really is terrible. People should be allowed to support rapists in positions of authority without fear of being judged. We should all try to be more like the pope.
