No, there are good reasons for it. A lot of people get confused between SUSE and openSUSE offerings. Often SUSE customers show up in openSUSE places, because they believe that it's a place they can get official support. And I'm sure a lot of potential customers might get confused in the same way too.
On the flip side there are also a lot of openSUSE (adjacent) users who think SUSE is (secretly or not) making openSUSE development decisions or think they can dand SUSE to do that and that.

So there are some good reasons to consider a rebranding, but also some speaking against it, like the less of recognition it might entail.

If wanting different pronouns/gender neutral language is political, then wanting to stick to "he" etc inherently is political, too. It's completely incomprehensible to say that "position X" is political, but "position anti-X" is somehow not.

That is absolute nonsense. SUSE mostly serves large enterprise customers. That's an entirely different demographic from people who care about Desktop Linux or setting up a home server.

Yes, people can have different opinions on what is political, but that doesn't mean those are equally valid. Politics has a clear definition. People can have different opinions in politics, but not really about what is politics.

I'd say it's non-mouse focused. Heavy touch or keyboard focus work pretty well, but the mouse really isn't intended as anything more than a helper.

Ich war lange der Meinung, dass er definitiv schuldig war, einfach weil das der generelle Konsens zu sein schien. Habe mir aber vor einer Weile mal den englischen Wiki-Artikel zu ihm durchgelesen (der natürlich auch biased sein könnte) und für mich macht das tatsächlich inzwischen eher den Eindruck als wäre er unschuldig gewesen.

Finde die Frage aber eigentlich auch eher unwichtig, da man solange man den Künstler (oder in seinem Fall seine Nachlassverwaltung, die jetzt auch keinen besonders guten Eindruck machen) nicht finanziell oder anderweitig unterstützt (durch streamen kaufen etc) und sich nicht zu stark mit der Person identifiziert mMn auch Kunst von schlechten Menschen hören darf. Auch schlechte Menschen können Schönes schaffen und generell sind Menschen halt vielschichtig mit sowohl Guten als auch Schlechten Qualitäten. Die Musik deswegen kategorisch zu verteufeln hilft mMn niemanden und wirkt für mich oft eher wie der Versuch, eine eindimensione Kategorisierung von Menschen in Gut und Schlecht aufrecht zu erhalten anstatt sich mit der unangenehmeren Wahrheit auseinanderzusetzen, dass auch Mörder und Kinderschänder potenziell etwas tun können, das meine Welt bereichert.

Das sollte im Umkehrschluss dann aber mMn nicht zu unkritischem Abfeiern führen, sondern man sollte sich mit diesem Widerspruch dann auch aktiv auseinandersetzen und das Werk entsprechend bewerten. Von einer vollständigen Trennung von Künstler und Werk halte ich tatsächlich auch nicht so viel. Viele Rammsteinlieder könnte ich, einfach weil sie vom Vibe zu nah an den tatsächlichen Anachuldigungen sind, jetzt wohl auch nicht mehr feiern, wenn ich sie denn vorher noch gefeiert hätte. Ubd das Minimum sollte bei problematischen Personen wie eingangs erwähnt mMn sein, dass sie keine finanzielle (oder anderweitige Unterstützung) erhalten, wenn davon auszugehen, dass das ihre schlimmen Verhaltensweisen weiter befördert/ermöglicht (Rammstein und Marilyn Manson wären hier die klaren Beispiele für mich)

Generell verstehe ich deine Punkte und würde dem insgesamt nicht groß widersprechen wollen. Aber das mit dem Fleischersatz als zentralem Beispiel finde ich etwas komisch, weil ich nicht verstehe, wie das hinhaut. Wenn man so Sachen wie "veganes Fleisch/Würstchen" oder Tofu im Biomarkt kauft, vielleicht. Aber ansonsten bist du doch einfach mit Linsen, Bohnen, Erbsen auch pro Gramm Protein deutlich günstiger unterwegs als mit Fleisch.
