Opening weekend in numbers (3/4)
What's the point of having a shove if you don't use it to it's upmost potential?

Conservative zealots targeted Kellogg's in the latest anti-diversity crusade
So they are literally trying to keep us from getting jobs at all now. And then they want to complain about people not working.
I want to say I'm surprised but at this point how can I be?

'Hell on wheels': Teen convicted of crashing car at 100 mph, killing boyfriend and friend
Reply in thread
At risk of angering the vast majority of the fuck cars community, it's generally because I live 30 minutes from my job by highway, and can't afford to live within walking distance. And they won't let us telework. I really really want to actually live close enough to bike.

I was getting emails also. All of a sudden reddit decided I needed to know what subreddits were trending via email. I'd tell it to quit sending me that shit and it would send them again after like 2 weeks.

So the fact that this person clearly has researched said subject enough to get a degree in it to know what they're talking about vs some dude who is quite possibly pulling bullshit out his ass doesn't allow for said learned person to tell said non-learned person they are an idiot?
Because sometimes I think it kinda does.

Truck purchases are driving up the average cost of car payments. Some buyers pay over $1,000 a month

I lived in snowy af Ohio for 8 years with a Kia Sephia. I was poorer than now then and couldn't afford snow tires yet I made it just fine. I'd always see trucks and SUVs driving crazy fast down the highway, and saw 2 crash right in front of me.
I'm with you, people do not need SUVs for the snow.

My brother is in the market for a truck. He wants it to actually put things in the back of it, specifically a motorcycle.
I know that there are trucks out there that have beds big enough, there has to be, but holy moly it's like every truck bed is made for 3 grocery bags and a 6 pack. I can haul more in the back of my GTI then some of these trucks out here. When the hell did they turn so useless??
If I have to hook up a trailer to carry most things what's the point of a truck

Disapproval of Elon Musk is top reason Tesla owners are selling, survey says
Reply in thread
Mustang Mach-E. Ford is seeing what Tesla is doing and copying the good bits, doing constant over the air updates, keeping quality good (not perfect, mind you) and the car itself is absolutely gorgeous. Blue cruise is not bad, expensive though now. You will probably have a shitty dealer experience but dealers are shitty. Ford really wants to do away with them and is trying to figure out how, last I heard.
If you want cheaper the Bolt EV or EUV. The pricing on the Bolt is good, and you wouldn't be going wrong by getting the current version. Chevy was going to ax the Bolt but instead they are redesigning the battery for a new edition. Everyone thinks its going to be just the EUV going forward since the EUV is like 4 inches bigger and most of it is the same. Chevy is going to put in a better battery that has faster charging times as well, if the rumors are true.
So you can't go wrong with either of those two. The main thing is that car companies are turning into (and have been for a while even prior to EVs) software companies. You have to go with who you think will do the best overall with good and bad and then pair it with the EV that suits you.
That being said despite how much I love the looks of the IONIQ 5 and the EV6, Kia and Hyundai have some work to do. VW is safe. They are Electrify America after all, for what good that is.

This made me think of Howard the Duck the movie and now I'm upset that I made the link between the two. I'm going to have to watch the movie again to clear my mind of such atrocity.

Volkswagen ID.3 sales surge over 300% after recent price cuts
Reply in thread
And yet they want to release that Buzz here. I bet more people would buy the ID.3. They said they are going to release an electric GTI but how much you want to bet it won't even touch the US.
VWs truly losing my favor and that's a shame. I love my GTI but that's where it stops.

Tesla's value plunged nearly $200 billion since mid-July – and the EV maker faces a bumpy road ahead
Reply in thread
Exactly people say this but then not about Mazda. Every single Mazda has the same design scheme. There's nothing wrong with that, if it works for the company fine, but like, "oh they all look the same" is invalid as a complaint against them.
Tesla has many other things you can diss on them for.

It’s time for Americans to embrace small cars

So wait. I am transporting one person, not taking up much space, obeying the rules of the road, don't have loud pipes nor speed, and you're telling me I'm selfish? When you literally just said you don't care about our pleasure?
I don't think it's us thats the selfish one here.
