There are obese children in America. If they're starving, their parents are doing it on purpose.

Femality is stored in the nipples

For a lot of people the sex is way more important than the way it is presented. I'm attracted to feminine women and masculine women but I am not attracted to men of any kind. And you can present as androgenous, but if you have lady parts I'm still hot for it.

Most people need a major traumatic life event to go into Punisher mode. Those events are happening more often, and if bullets (or nukes) ever really start flying people will pick sides really quickly. Their food and sports entertainment aren't supporting cultural lethargy as well as they used to.

The "We Tried" Award
Vietnam hats aren't trophies. They're badges of survivors. They know they lost. They were fucked by our govt while they were there, they got their asses kicked and then came home to a population that didn't see them as heroes like previous soldiers has experienced. Everything about that war was a shit show and it's no surprise so many of those vets couldn't transition back into civilian life.

Crop pickers should make $20+/hr, as should everyone. Relying on underpaid illegal labor forces only helps other corporations to underpay their workers too. We need living wages.

We live in a public transit hell
As an American, I don't have access to trains, buses, bike lanes, sidewalks or even a shoulder on the road. The last time I tried to walk home from the tire shop two miles away, three people stopped to offer me a ride because it is that dangerous. I live inside the 275 loop that runs around Cincinnati.

They probably tried setting it on their wireless phone charger. I hope they aren't dumber than that, but I don't really have a lot of hope.

Harris Tried to Win Over Republicans. Democratic Support Collapsed Instead.
It was the stupidest of ideas. Republicans were never going to vote for her in any numbers. She was all about gun control, she personally owned the 12 million border crossings, she had all those defund the police sound bites from her earlier years, and she couldn't effectively separate herself from the difficult economy for middle and low earners - while failing to communicate that she even cared about the common man's plight or would try to help it. Even her proposed tax plan raised taxes on lower middle class, at least the charts I saw (including here on Lemmy). And Republicans have seen four years of Trump and think all the Nazi and "all Republicans are racist" talk is literally the stupidest thing on the earth. Abortion was all Dems really had, and although lots of Republicans are pro-choice, Trump had promised to veto a national abortion ban (for whatever that's worth).
I remember when Democrats were for the working people. They need to stop being "We're not the Nazis"and start telling us who they are. But I don't think they want to tell us who they are. They're no longer the party of the working man, they're the party of corporate interest and global governance, and they're also almost as authoritarian as the right. Maybe the collapse of the Democrat party will result in the birth of an actual socialist party in the US. We've seen major party changes in the past. Will it happen again, soon?

I'll drive you with no seatbelt, hell I'll skip it myself if I feel like it .
But I won't do that while taking you to your dealer. Never commit a misdemeanor while you're committing felonies.

Double Order
I've gone in and ordered two when it was dead and no one was around, I just sat down and ate them at a table near the ordering line area and the staff watched me eat both of them. Nobody cared.

Reports of Navajo people being detained in immigration sweeps sparks concern from tribal leaders
Reply in thread
Yeah I'm a white dude and back when I had long hair and didn't understand civil rights I got illegally detained dozens of times. Profiling is real, and obviously POC understand this. But also, police have no respect for the constitution or actual rule of law and civil rights. Most of my worst experiences were from police forces in cities mostly ran by authoritarian neolibs.

The US Department of Justice has now authorized retaliation to criticism of law enforcement
First amendment protections for speech expressing our grievances against our government are very well established. I think even this Supreme court will agree. We'll see, but this is basic free speech. There are people who are against free speech or waver depending on the kind of speech. I'm all for free speech, even what some would call hate speech. I'm an advocate, and I know the law and precedents. I don't think this has any legs.
