Trump "may die in prison" if he doesn't strike a deal: Legal analyst
Click bait. We've heard this for ages. Wake me up when things actually happen, until then stop giving media who keep him front and center the ad clicks.

Relay for Reddit now charges based on how much you use it
Reply in thread
If the paid API wasn't rolled out as a complete trainwreck I'd probably be paying. And probably wouldn't be here, too.
Relay was my app for 12 years so I wish him well with this but I'm not planning on going back to using it or reddit.

Different brother. There's Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord (I think that's right), who have common family history but are now separate companies. One operates the US chain called Aldi and the other owns TJ's.

Oregon Supreme Court Bans Republican State Senators From Running For Reelection
No. Loaded title here. VOTERS banned them via constitutional amendment. Amendment was if anyone has 10 or more unexcused absences they are banned from reelection. Courts just decided against the R's lawsuit against the amendment.

UPS delivered a vynil record

...but now that we're here, does the counter reset? Does an old repost now become a new post? Philosoraptor wants to know.

Old articles are clogging up search engines
I find it's the opposite: engines are so biased toward new content that older but still useful (or crucial) results are buried. I feel like an archeologist some days, carefully digging through the strata to find ancient hidden treasure.

Yes in prod.
Yes it can still happen today (not my monkey).

Yep. Primary chat protocol is still SMS. The general population hasn't latched on to WhatsApp or others like many countries have.

Get WinAero Tweaker. It's a tool that applies dozens of registry and group policy settings to kill stuff like this. I ran it once ages ago and never have had to deal with stuff like your screenshot.

They're doing more than riding on apples services for free. They had to build and run a notification relay server to make this work.
Same thing that's been in the news about Apple sharing info with police. The content of the messages are ETE encrypted but notifications of who is talking to who is not

US plans water heater standards, says will save consumers $11 bln yearly

The two models you linked have an estimated annual energy cost of $489 and $119. That's roughly $40 a month vs $10. This would mean you'd come out ahead in total cost over the lifetime of the unit -- parts + install + bills -- at 4 years and 2 months.
Obviously every situation is different, but calculating at an aggregate level and using that math to dismiss the idea wholesale is disingenuous at best.

Biden's latest campaign strategy: Get under Trump's skin
Last time around part of Trump's strategy was to dominate the news cycle with a never ending torrent of outlandish statements and behavior. Free advertising. And of course he's going to do it again because his fundraising is much less than Biden's at this point. And he probably can't help himself as that's all he knows how to do and it works on his base.
One could argue that it's a wise idea to co-opt that free campaign exposure by joining in instead of fighting back or fact checking or correcting the record like they had in the past.

Surely, one of you fine folks has a better solution to attach a spare fan to an ISP gateway without damaging it?
It was engineered for passive cooling, even if just barely. I don't think you need something as elaborate as a case fan when the whole thing is perforated like that. A single USB fan blowing on the case from 6 inches away is sufficient to keep my formerly toasty modem barely warm to the touch.
