One of Reddit’s biggest communities is suggesting users move to Discord
I like the continued migrations from Reddit but Discord doesn’t seem like the best destination

What is the least SEO-fucked search engine?

Even exact matches with quotes don’t seem to be as useful these days. Google tries to be helpful by matching on what it thinks I want instead of what I actually want. That plus the ads and all the other junk

[WINNER: OPTION B] Choose Voyager's icon!
Add me to the “unfortunately I don’t think any of them are great and can’t/won’t single out one to vote for, but truly appreciate all the effort that’s been put in” list

Are you replacing Reddit with Lenny?
I have moved from 100% Reddit before this month to around 75% Lemmy (via Wefwef) and 25% Reddit. And I see this continually moving towards more Lemmy, less Reddit over time

This is surely the most pugnacious thing I have seen all day

On a quick inspection the left barely looks like it’s worth reading and it’s easy to miss the link, so you’re led to thinking there’s a yes and a no button on the right. Click the no button and you’ve subscribed to Prime.
Obviously if you stop and actually look at everything you’ll realise what’s up. But this relies on you rushing and being misled in to signing up, which clearly works for them.

Just installed the app and am testing replying to your comment (by swiping from right to left on it)

I’ve only tried Wefwef so far (as far as Lemmy goes) but it’s basically so good and so familiar feeling that I’m not sure I feel the need to try anything else

The best Lemmy app so far is "Wefwef" hands down. If you loved Apollo you'd love this.
Really liking it so far. It’s super impressive how much it’s eased my migration from Reddit. I feel right at home here already. Almost!

Thanks devs for making wefwef
Wefwef is a game changer. My Reddit departure has just gotten 100x easier

What is your dark figure/shadow person story?
When you say “have a shadow person” are you missing the word “seen” there or do you mean some kind of ownership or possession?

Reddit's API protest just got even more NSFW

I’m keen to give it a go but the beta is full. Am keeping an eye out for the app store release! In the meantime Wefwef is excellent and I may end up sticking with it anyway (no harm in shopping around though!)

By doing the above actually. Frequently. The idea is you do that kind of thing (a “reality check”) so often in your waking life that the checks begin to transfer over to your dreams

If things are this good so soon after the Reddit shutdown then the future is bright

Anyone else missing posts in smaller Lemmy communities because they are overshadowed by the popular ones?

We could vote/comment on the existing issue to potentially get it on a priority list

Is it just me or did anyone else became a more avid poster since joining lemmy?

For me it’s because I want to do my small bit to help get people off Reddit, by seeing more active communities here
