Judge in Trump’s classified documents case cancels May trial date; no new date set

It must be nice to live in a world where you appoint your own judge. It’s time for Smith to take action. A judge can be removed in “any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.” This is not impartiality.

We are so cooked

Probably the same reason we had 40+ tornadoes, huge hailstorms, floods, and drought-enabled wildfires in six adjacent states within 48 hours. Anthropogenic climate change is real, whether you believe in it or not.

The upside is now farmers won’t have to worry about what to do with the crop surplus from trade wars, dismantled USAID, and defunded school lunch program.

Biden pardons thousands of US veterans convicted under law banning gay sex

“Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was bigoted propaganda branded as a consideration, and the Lavender Scare was horrifically layered oppression. It was basically, “We’ve decided your sexuality is scandalous, forcing you to hide it, which makes you at risk of being blackmailed, so we’re charging you with a crime.” Fucking despicable.

These pardons are excellent. It’s such a shame thousands of veterans had to live so long with criminal records for who they are, not even what they did.

Biden confirms that American bombs killed Palestinian civilians

I know there’s a lot of sarcasm here, but this is legitimately important. This is a breach of the agreement for use of US supplied munitions. Now that the US has formally declared misuse, they can stand behind international law violation charges, as well as justify the recent discontinuation of arms supplied for offense. This is how change happens on an international level.

Victory lap!

It really is. My great-grandfather was born in 1898 and died in 1999. He almost lived in three different centuries. He rode a horse and buggy in his youth and played Windows Solitaire in his later years.

They're scared

It’s more expensive to incarcerate someone for sleeping in public than it is to house them. It’s more expensive to incarcerate someone for shoplifting than it is to feed them.

The suffering is the point.

Can't make this up

Trump bragged about having the tallest building in NY after terrorists took out the Twin Towers on 9/11. Then, 24 years later, he complimented and shook the hand of a man who ordered inspired and cheered for the attacks, in front of the US Secretary of Commerce whose brother and staff were killed.

But sure, tell me how the front-runner for mayor being a member of the same religion is the bigger deal.

More House Democrats Say 'No' to Netanyahu Speech to Congress

"Five percent of the population is now dead or wounded. Sixty percent of them are women and children. Some 200,000 housing units have been completely destroyed," he continued. "Every university in Gaza has been bombed. There is now imminent starvation taking place."

"So why you would invite somebody who has done such horrific things to the Palestinian people?" Sanders added. "I think it's a very bad idea."

Thank you Bernie.
