Just arrived here because my fav reddit app was cut off. First verdict is: different but usable.

Lemmy World outages
Well thanks for the update and your hard work. I am currently using lemm.ee as a backup account so that I can at least have my fix.
Hope the bastard(s) who are ddossing the server get some nice tropical diseases.

Sync users who joined Lemmy on the app launch day, how has your first week been so far?
I have used it for a short while, but one thing I can not appreciate is having all the display settings (cudo's for that) but all Inwant is everything look the same over all accounts.
And a "sync subscriptions and block lists" option would rock!

15+ (?) years...
I have not deleted anything but the Reddit app is gone and I have not logged in again since the API thing.
Lemmy is just as good (just a wee bit smaller) and I'll be investing my (sometimes positive) energy here.

China's tech crackdown cost over $1 trillion. But the economy is in such deep trouble that the country's cozying up to its tech firms again.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: fuck China, fuck their Uyghur policy, fuck their human rights violations. Fuck them.

Dutchie here. Not a fan of the multiparty system either. Anyone who hits the news (be it positive or negative) can start their own party if they get the number of party members required.
Result: we had to enlarge our voting billets.
