I'm sorry to hear that! So the front locked up and you had a highside crash? That's my greatest fear on my ebike (heybike ranger s) and my motorcycle (suzuki gs500). I hope you heal up and can get back to riding soon, and I'm glad you're still alive and coherent

And that really sucks that Engwe didn't care

Small 'micromobility' vehicles gain traction amid rising car prices

I gotta say, I don't think they look bad. I think chooch looks awesome when he rides, check out the video I linked.

Practically speaking I don't usually take my fast wheels. Usually I take my mten5 around with just a helmet and some small kneepads and gloves.

It's stupidly powerful for how tiny it is. Easy to carry by the handle. Easy to trolley. And gets me 20 miles of range.

I haven't heard of anyone crashing due to hardware failure on any EUCs in the past year, so they've gotten pretty reliable.

Personally after a couple thousand miles I've never had a crash that wasn't caused by me running into something stupidly, and I've never had an injury. Just wear kneepads/helmet/wristguards and you'll be fine.

I bought a new begode Falcon (with cryptocurrency on Ewheels.com) and this thing is a blast with the suspension. I changed the stock pads for these small pink ones.

It's got a nice simple design and is super easy to take apart. It goes about 25mph for 20-30 miles, same as my mten5.

I wouldn't recommend it as a first wheel though due to how high the pedals are. I think the mten5 or Future or A2 are better to learn on.

Black Myth: Wukong shows very clearly Valve are selling a lot of Steam Decks

Reply in thread

While I would love that, I really can't imagine valve being able to handle the logistics and driver support that would come with that endeavor.

The deck still has a lot of bugs, such as touch scrolling being broken if you try to scroll down in your library a few pages.

I can't imagine valve handling "user has put the console in sleep mode, detached the console from the egpu dock, and woken it from sleep" without bugs

I ride onewheels and EUCs and everything else. Onewheels are fun. A pintx can take you around town for a decent price.

My main issue with my onewheels has been how annoying they are to carry. My EUCs have trolley handles and can be pushed around in shops.

And if you want to go faster than 18mph you have to look to EUCs. For the price of a onewheel GT-S you can get this https://youtu.be/UsQtRVW3hs4?si=ZujSsjm0d7HFTEFw

Or for the price of a pint-s you can get a T4-pro which will cruise at 35mph, have tons of torque, and easily go over 30 miles.

Also EUCs are safer. I can get into why that is if you want.

I've never ridden an analog one but I've heard people say that the electric ones are easier

It took me about 3 hours to ride it and about a month to ride it decently

Ugh I typed a lot and Lemmy (or Sync) glitched and lost it.

Anyway, I completely agree.

Futuremotion makes a great product but they're an anti-right-to-repair shitty patent troll company.

Also Floatwheel is awesome and entirely right-to-repair. And they give the middle finger to all patents and are happily operating with crypto. I paid them $2000 for their version of a Onewheel and I'll do it again when the sequel releases in a week.

edit: it released today

It makes it harder to hit roots and rocks while off roading, and you can turn sharper, but really no

In general the lower the pedals are to the ground the easier it is to ride and the more stable it is

The Falcon pedals here are quite high up and it makes it feel less stable. I would prefer them an inch or two lower

Riding my v11 unicycle one last time before I sell it because I own too many EUCs

It's a great commuter. Relatively waterproof, durable, goes 34mph, 30+ mile range.

I really just ride my mten5 or ex30 or motorcycle 95% of the time though
