"Nothing, do you have a sister? Where does she live?"
I am a natural born asshole and don't think debating with the religiously impaired is a useful exercise.

Attempted murder. Battery with a deadly weapon. Lazy cowardly prosecutors.

Data from independent organisations suggests Hybrids don't actually prevent as much emissions on average over traditional ICE cars as thought in real-world use | Just Have A Think
I am skeptical. My wife drives a plug in hybrid. She buys gas ever six weeks or so now. She used to buy gas about every ten days. I wonder what conservative think tank is sponsoring the bias in the research results.

Which is worse: Friends or Seinfeld?
I am the age of the target audience for both of these programs when they came out. I found Seinfeld completely unwatchable contemporaneously. It has perhaps the worst laugh track in the history of TV programming. Same obviously fake laughing for stupid stuff that is not even worth a snicker as for the rare thing that was actually funny. I didn't care for it at all and never understood why it was so popular.
Friends annoyed me for different reasons, mostly because the characters lived so far beyond their means that it was immersion breaking.
They both suck, but Seinfeld sucks more.

Exxon warns of record low oil inventory from the war

I'm afraid we have already missed the window due to feedback loops. Demand destruction is necessary mass suffering. The normalcy bias makes it hard to see the imminent lack of food from crop failure, loss of mechanized farming, loss of affordable shipping, loss of fertilizer feed stock, etc. I expect a lot of "why didn't the scientists warn us that it would be this bad this quickly?" and "God is punishing us for treating the lgbtq like humans (or whatever other religious nonsense)."
We won't get a livable biosphere by choice but maybe in the post-Malthusian collapse something sort of sustainable will emerge. Unprecedented suffering first though.

Let's add a 60 pound helmet and a 120 pound battery to my rucksack. It will be fine.

How embarrassing
FBI searching for the killer: United Healthcare denied 2.8M insurance claims in the last year and most of those people have families, so it looks like we have around 10M suspects.

They're making takedown claims
I think filing a fraudulent DMCA takedown should be a felony and the ceo of the organization that filed is the presumptive fraudster unless he can prove that his employee filed it against his explicit order not too. Also, a DMCA notice should be invalid and ignored unless signed by the criminally responsible CEO.

Trump blames DC air crash on workers with "severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, or other mental or physical conditions"
Timeline:
Jan 20 - Federal Aviation Administration Director fired.
Jan. 21 - Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen
Jan. 22 - Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded
Jan. 28 - Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees
Jan. 29 - first American mid-air collision in 16 years
By golly, Trump is actually correct. Someone with severe intellectual disabilities did fuck us over.

What's the worst invention of the 21st century?
Separate apps for various retail stores. I don't want a home depot app. I don't want a kroger app. We have a generic app for this category called a web browser. If you want me to download a specialized app for your store, I assume that means that my browser does not sufficiently breach my privacy for your "business purposes."

"Trump doesn't have an appeal": Experts say Trump may fire lawyer after being "burned very severely"
Looks like typical DJT operating procedures. Hire incompetence and then blame the system for their incompetence. I used to do high stakes litigation. We would have an attorney on our trial team whose only responsibility was preserving error. I wonder if DJT will sue her for malpractice. That would probably make her extra sad for servicing his tiny mushroom.

My Tesla Cybertruck Got Totaled After It Was Sideswiped by an E-Scooter. All-in, I paid $198K, but Insurance is Only Offering Me a “Fair Market Value” of $77K. I Still Owe the Bank $171,500
How the hell did a scooter do 77k of damage (or more)? Was it fired out of a rail gun? Did the rider survive? Do they need help?
Most likely explanation: had to wait for the cop to do a police report and got caught out in the rain and forgot to activate car wash mode.
Perfectly reasonable and normal for a scooter to destroy a giant pickup. Was the scooter made by space x?
